The lady who checked us in was super sweet and friendly!
The room was scented and had to be aired out. The advertised “suite” was really not a suit at all. Very old motel with a musty old smell in the kitchen of the “suite”.
I went and cleaned the entire room with Clorox wipes. The amount of dust bunnies and dirty surfaces were abundant.
Didn’t turn on the a/c because the filter was coated with dirt and dust! Thankfully there was a fan and we had it running all night. Along with a bathroom window open.
It’s very quiet at night. The morning was loud..you could hear people talking and the cars starting up their engines, as they have you park 10 feet in front of your motel door.

Cute little spot with thoughtful decor and all the essentials. Nice to skip the chain hotels and buy local. Enjoyed some wine on the patio in oversized rocking chair! Hiked Copper Canyon to see the area on foot. The library/visitor center staffed with knowledgeable woman and local lore! Would stay again.

Older hotel, no smoking area could use improvement. Currently it’s a bench next to dog area. The host is very friendly, willing to help. Room is standard. Our room didn’t have a lamp, only an overhead fan/light. Had to get out of bed to turn light on/off. Needs some improvement, but the price is right for the area.

My 10 day stay at the Fort Verde Suites Motel was simply delightful.
First, it's an older facility and reminded me of when my family and I would stay in motels when I was a kid. The facility brought back great memories.
I was in a king suite with full kitchenette and it was perfect, complete with full-size refrigerator, hot plate and microwave. I was able to save so much money by cooking my own meals instead of having to eat out for so many days.
The bedroom & kitchen were spacious and comfortable and I appreciated that guests are asked to park in front of only their room. This ensured a parking space was convenient for me.
And being an older facility, it's built much more solid, i.e. I didn't have to listen to other guests conversations, tv's or music through the walls. The only time I really heard other people was when they were outside. This gave me a real sense of privacy that I don't experience in today's contemporary hotels with their cheap construction and paper-thin walls.
The location of the motel is also excellent, at the south end of Camp Verde's historic district. My business classes were straight up the road so it only took me about 8 minutes to drive to class each day. This saved a lot in gas money. There's also a 24 hour laundromat 2 blocks away which made my stay that much easier.
Great facility, location and lots of things to do in the area. I'll definitely head back to Fort Verde Suites for my next business trip.

Quaint old school Motel completely updated and done in authentic Southwestern traditional Native American culture and heritage. Owners are on site. I was going to be late night arriving from the Tempe/Scottsdale, Arizona area and the owners called me to let me know they’d be closed but they would leave my room key in an envelope with my name on it hidden in a secure spot and where to find it when I arrived. The envelope was easy to find from her instructions and had my name and a smiley face on the envelope. Comfortable Bed, clean room, nice big clean bathroom with plenty of forceful hot water for my shower and a very large room for a great price. Nice laminated listings with local restaurant options and local attractions which for someone only one month in Arizona was perfect for me.
I told them as I was loading up Sunday morning to leave I’d certainly be back again soon and that they had a WONDERFUL LITTLE OASIS HERE IN THE MOUNTAINS at Camp Verde, Arizona

What an absolutely cute motel! The woman I checked in with was great! Felt very welcomed the second I arrived. She made sure I had all the information I needed. The motel itself is small but adorable. Good furniture, great towels, nice bathrooms! I have to say I was extremely impressed and especially for the price! I will definitely be returning

We stayed just one night. It was very clean and well supplied. Although it is short distance from the interstate, it is situated in a nice area with interesting shops. A nearby recommended Mexican restaurant was very good. It was a good value in a higher priced area.

Great room with plenty of parking, even has a big adjacent room with kitchen area, full size fridge and freezer, table with 4 chairs. Also stocked with dishes and everything you need. Very Close to fossil creek. Great bar next door 👍

Patio seating nice addition. Wish there would have been a hair dryer and front door was more airtight to reduce light, air escaping and noise.

We had sewer gas smells all night after one flushing. Toilet paper holder broken. Very small TV unplugged and had to be self-installed.
