We normally stay at the Sagebrush but my business partner wasn't happy with the comfort of the bed on our last stay so I thought I'd give Hotel Don Fernando a try. Beds were about the same and the shade let way too much light in. Overall condition of property and amenities were great.

Enjoyed a comfortable night's stay while shopping in Taos.

Overall good but I recommend more menu items in restaurants not enough

Nice place just out of old town. Fyi...bar shut down at 10p Friday.
Very soft beds...a bit tough on lower back and huge soft pillows. Would like a thin pillow option.

Highly recommended - it was a great place to stay while in Taos. The front desk staff were incredible!!

The property was comfortable and charming. The artwork and furnishings added to my appreciation. My checkin was easy, and staff was friendly and helpful. Having an indoor pool was a big plus for me. The room was spacious, with everything I needed.

The restroom was not properly cleaned when I checked in. Found hair in the bathroom floor and tub. I stayed there 3 nights and I wanted clean towels and toilet paper. But, when I called around 4:00pm , they said that I had to wait until the next day because the housekeeper was already off work and they didn’t come in until 9:00am. I would think they had a storage room with these items. The lobby receptionist gave me an impression that she didn’t want to help or be bothered. The restaurant food was not good. I ordered chicken fingers for my daughter and they were not fully cooked. But Taos has a lot of good restaurants not to far from the hotel. So we knew to eat out and not at the hotel.

Extensive use of salt during snow days made the rooms very messy and unsightly.

The facility itself was good. We appreciated the pet friendly policy and the larger room size. However, when our toilet clogged, we went to the office and asked for a plunger. They said they would have to “find their maintenance guy” who never showed up so we ended up going to the Wal-Mart across the street to buy a plunger. We also asked for one more towel because the room had only three for a family of four. They never brought the towel so when we went back to the desk a second time to ask for the towel, a person disappeared as if going to look for one. They never came back so we pressed the other desk person wondering if we should keep standing there to wait or what? She said she would go check and magically came back with two towels and informed us that we were lucky to have gotten the last ones. Such weird “service”.

The king bed suite was small for four. The king bed was a good nite sleep. The sofa bed was not a good quality bed nor was the couch. Minimal necessities provided. Room was clean and warm. Other than the annoyance of noisy neighbors it’s a typical motel set up. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t excellent.

Skip this hotel. In fact, skip Taos altogether. This place is dated with nothing to do. The entire area is dusty & dated. Rooms far from reception. No elevators. No housekeeping. The pool room has no heating & was frigid. The breakfast was the worst meal we had all trip at Palattes. Front desk staff really not very helpful, except Renee. Skip this place & head to Monte Sagrado if you must visit Taos.

Nice decent stay overall for the price and convenience location, also.

It was blood stain on the pillow and hairs were found on a sheet bed

They don't advertise that they don't have an elevator. The only room available was on the 2nd floor. We were on a 2 week road trip with lots of luggage and had to take it up and down stairs on our own. They offered assistance that didn't show up.

The room didn't have any trash bags or soap. There was a large wet spot on the carpet and an industrial fan was left in my room attempting to dry it up. I was traveling alone and was put in a back building with a back-facing entrance which did not feel particularly safe to me.
I was glad the hotel had a restaurant/ bar - the food was good and the service was excellent.

We stay here at least once a year. The property is well laid out and quiet. The suites are spacious and lovely. My husband loves the pool.
The restaurant is a little too pricey for what it offers.

We were here for a long holiday weekend getaway. We were glad to have the refrigerator and microwave. We also appreciated having the restaurant onsite.
The rooms are arranged in multiple buildings and you might have a bit of a walk from your vehicle to the building, including needing to carry your luggage up an outside staircase.

Beautiful property and nice room.

First room’s toilet was leaking. The shower was so strong. Could not control it.
Changed room. Shower glass was installed backwards. Had to get in the shower to turn it on. Either hit by cold water or extremely hot water.
The closet door was hard to operate.
Had requested everyday cleaning service. Didn’t get any even after complaining. Didn’t expect this kind of situation especially from Hilton.

The rooms were clean. A/C was either full blast or nothing. Dining options were great but food was cold or well done/crisp. Both men’s and women’s public bathrooms were under supplied. This is not the quality of a typical Hilton property. We are rewards members and use Hilton almost exclusively but this property fell short.

I was looking for accommodations that had nice Southwestern atmosphere instead of run-of-the-mill hotel look. I found it here! Beautiful and exceptionally clean. Highly recommend!

I went up for a relaxing weekend and it was. I chose it because it had a pool. The pool was very nice. My room was large, bed comfortable and it was very cool when I arrived. The bar had a great happy hour with half price apps that were great. The location was close to the plaza and on the strip but away from the chaos. It’s not a deluxe hotel but a step up from your basic place and I give it 5 Stars based upon it’s affordable pricing.

Very noisy due to traffic and toilets flushing during the night. Also not close to good restaurants.

This property did not meet the Hilton standard that I have come to know. I will not stay at this property again, and cannot recommend it to others.

The bathroom was not clean. You had to call for housekeeping and if you did after 730am, the wouldn't come. The beds were very uncomfortable.

Arrived at 4:30. Room wasn’t ready and room we reserved was not available. Needed two queens. Got a Queen and sofa bed. Room smelled like cigarettes. Sofa bed was awful. Expected much better from Hilton brand.

Check in experience was terrible. They charged us more than expedias quoted rate.
