A nice historic feeling house. Staff not particularly friendly, especially on check in. Lots of noise from overhead during the first night, making it hard to sleep. A very nice complimentary breakfast served each morning though. A decent stay but nothing really special, considering the price.

Just OK. Probably wouldn’t stay here again. The breakfast is minimal. Nothing hot but the coffee.

Has a lot of character the location was close to downtown beautiful scenery!

This is a charming, quaint, nicely decorated, Victorian Inn. It is located on the Main Street but in a less busy area. We chose it because we were able to reserve one of the Turret rooms which looks out over the street and water. The room also opens to a communal living room and wrap around balcony. One is able to use stairs or elevator to the room. We had stayed here during COVID and wanted to stay here again. The staff are welcoming and we also enjoyed purchasing fudge and Expresso drinks in the small cafe. Another perk is 24/7 beverage bar where cookies are served in the evening. Standard continental breakfast. Convenient to bike rental and trails. Short walk to restaurants.

Amazing experience and when we accidently left our keys, they delivered them to the ferry to be dropped off in St. Ignace! Thank you! :)

Great as always! Very courteous staff.

The Inn was nice. Very quaint and cute. My wife loved it. Walls were a bit thin, unfortunately.

Great location. A short distance from ferry and to town. Quiet location. Across from a great bike rental place. Nice room with private bath. Elevator.

Elevated front porch was great for watching people and carriages go by. elevator to all floors was a nice surprise.

Perfect location, helpful staff, clean and cozy

The drapes over the beds had faded out flower bouquets and there were large cobwebs around them as well as along most of the ceiling edges.

Nice experience and comfortable stay

This was our first time there and we liked everything about it! The only thing that could have been better was the breakfast, maybe waffles or something other than cereal and bagels, but overall it was a great experience

It’s been several years since I stayed at the Inn on Mackinac. I was impressed how well the Inn has been kept up and updated, but yet keeping all the quaint surroundings that I remember. The front desk was very helpful, and all the workers there are very kind and joyful. I would definitely come back to the Inn and recommend it to others also.

Not happy with the room. It was right across from the elevator and every time the elevator moved a loud bell would go off. Also the room they put us in was an attic so u couldn’t even stand up in certain places like bathroom and bed area. It was way overpriced also!!!

Great. Sophia at the front desk was so helpful and so nice and personable. Super.

I felt the front staff were very unfriendly, they didn’t ever say hello when we came in and there were no obvious check in signs walking in. Rather a coffee bistro? Set up very odd, it was just ok. Overpriced in my opinion.

Everything was lovely and pleasant, mostly. Breakfast not so much, but nothing bad. Beautiful place, wonderful service, gorgeous room with amazing view.

Price and close to everything!

A pleasant hotel. The included breakfast leans heavily on the carbs, buy yogurt and hard-boiled eggs are available.
For folks with mobility issues an elevator is available. Something not readily found in other smaller historic hotels or B&Bs.
The large, outdoor, stainless steel hot tub/pool is a delight.

The staff was friendly and courteous. But the cold continental breakfast left much to be desired.

This is our 2nd time staying here and we will be back again. Loved the spa pool for relaxing, free cookies at night, coffee/tea/ hot chocolate available all day, and good breakfast in the morning (lovely pastries!) Comfortable distance from the ferry, but not in the crowd of downtown.
I loved to sit on the front porch and watch everything go by.

Last minute trip. Price was right and I think we got the best room in the place. Nice balcony to hang out on, great location for people watching. I would definitely recommend this place

Loved all the antiques. Everything felt relaxing and comfortable.

It’s a beautiful building. There are absolutely no services available, no bar, no food, not even bottles of water accessible to guests. I wasn’t prepared for this, so we brought nothing, no drinks or wine, no food or snacks. By the time we had made it to the hotel, we just did not have the energy to go back into town to get anything at the store. They didn’t have bottles of water available, we had to have the right money to use the vending machine. The building is lovely, it’s old, we had trouble with the heating, and when I called the front desk to get some help, no one answered and I had to leave messages twice before finally going down to get some help personally. There are no phones in the rooms so you can’t even call the front desk from the room, you need to have your own cell phone to reach them. I found all the ass troublesome when all I wanted to do was take a rest after walking through the city.
They did a nice job of collecting our bags at the port and getting to the inn. And upon departure, doing the same thing, taking the bags down to the port.

The Inn itself is very nice. We had a great view and plenty of room to move around. My only Cont was the first night (Friday) there was a very loud group either on the covered porch or in the common area until about 1:00am then a couple fighting very loud until a little after 2:00am. Saturday was much quieter. Staff was very nice. Very basic breakfast foods. I would recommend to others and I would stay again.

This property exceeded our expectations! Absolutely beautiful! Loved everything about it!

Mackinac Island is one of the great places to visit in the USA, and this inn is well located near everything, including bicycle rental.
The property just west of the inn, and adjacent to our room, is used for housing for employees of local businesses, who are very likely seasonal.
On a Wednesday night, at late hours, there was a lot of noise from residents coming home for the night, loud talking, arguments, and one altercation.
Management of the Inn on Mackinaw need to take action on this. These working people need a place to live near work, I support that. But their behavior needs to be more respectful of other people staying nearby.

Awesome !

This hotel was great. An easy walk from the ferry, quick stroll to downtown, outdoor setting with coffee or hot chocolate. Then the second floor outdoor balcony with and attached reading room, a hot tub on the fourth floor, breakfast and COOKIES at night. What a treat. Now the crazy fabric hanging from ceiling to the headboard has to go!!!
But I loved the Inn on Mackinaw.

I stay here every year!!

I was mostly disappointed with the hotel. Air conditioning did not blow cold air. I could not see my face in bathroom mirror since it was to low on wall. Room was not well insulated so we could hear people talking in adjacent rooms. Plus when the people in the room below us ran their sink or shower we heard a screeching noise. Not worth the money!

Lovely inn and accommodations, very clean and well kept. Convenient to restaurants and shopping. I would definitely stay here again.

The Inn is walking distance from most any place we wanted to go on the island, but not right in the middle of all of the tourist foot traffic, which we liked. We were able to call for a "taxi" (horse drawn taxi) when we wanted to go to dinner later in the evening and didn't feel like walking that far. The rooms were smallish, and lacked a place to put our luggage, but were clean and nicely furnished; we didn't feel cramped and the bed was quite comfortable. We loved being able to sit outside on the 2nd floor balcony and drink our coffee in the morning and the flowers on the property (and all along the street) were beautiful. Bathroom was very clean with plenty of counter space and towels. Staff was friendly and helpful when we had questions. Our rooms were ready well before the 4:00pm check-in and they called to let us know as soon as we could get moved in. The continental breakfast was more than we expected based on previous reviews. Coffee, juice, a selection of cold cereals, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, bagels, muffins and pastries. It was good to find out that we could arrange for our luggage to be delivered from the ferry to the Inn, for a nominal gratuity. We would definitely stay there again.

We've stayed here before and had a wonderful time. This stay we had a room facing the hot tub. Although it was a beautiful room it was
noisy from the people using the hot tub.
