It was a pleasant surprise. I booked my room because the location was central to places I need to go and because it was inexpensive. I had low expectations. My wife scolded me because she saw the picture of the exterior and assumed the worst. When I got there, the checkin was very, very quick, and then I had the key to my room. Then it happened. When I opened the door to my room, I was amazed that it had been recently renovated. Not only that, but the reno had been well done. It looked great and it was very clean. I would have preferred a few more amenities. Things like a closet. Or a dresser. Or some place to put my clothes. Perhaps a desk, in case I wanted to do some work. The room had none of these, but it did not matter much because I spent very little time in it. I only wanted a clean, comfortable, place to sleep. And that is what I got.

Missing indications. We couldn’t even figure out where the front desk was. After that, our key didn’t work and the staff was breaking in rooms because they lost which keys were which. Kinda scary to enter a place in the middle of nowhere at this time of night, with no security (anybody could enter the building that wasn’t locked) and find out people breaking into bedrooms…

This place is great. The rooms are nice and clean, with AC. The laundry facilities are free to use, along with full kitchen and breakfast bar. The owner and staff are amazing, friendly and make you feel right at home. Would definitely stay here again!

We were very disappointed after seeing the very good reviews from Hotels.com. We arrived at night and the building and parking was VERY dark...I was very worried that our vehicle would be broken into. The reception was OK and we were show our room. The room had seen better days. Very much in need of repair and paint. The carpet was badly soiled and the bed spread was terribly worn. The air conditioning was very loud and right next to the bed making it very hard to sleep. We did NOT have a restful sleep nor did we feel particularly safe or 'clean' in our room. I do NOT recommend.

Friendly hostel type environment..but with a great single room/bathroom! Staff is super friendly helpful and accommodating. There is a spacious and well-equipped super clean communal kitchen! It is in the middle of nowhere but there is a nice grocery store 10km away and Sudbury is an easy 20 minute drive and…what a surprise! It’s a beautiful green town full of history and the best museums!

The property is very old however the bed was comfortable and clean. There are no dining options where this proper is located and it is a far distance from Sudbury. This wasn't a problem for my granddaughter and I since we ate supper in Sudbury and had breakfast on the road a few miles down the highway on our way to Sault Ste Marie.

The staff was friendly. Checked us in quickly, provided towels right away as room was equipped with only one towel. Toiletries- only soap, which wasn’t a good quality. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned, unfortunately, and the furniture is quite worn out. Fridge worked. For this price, I would have expected more. Also, breakfast is continental, which is not mentioned.

Bedroom and bathroom were very clean and the owner was friendly and available even though we arrived very late. A queen size bed would have been nice and a cleaner front porch and entrance would have been a better first impression.

This place is a little off the beaten path but it’s worth the drive!! The host is SO friendly and he made me feel like I was at home. The room was clean and the bed was fine. The host even emailed me to let me know I could use the kitchen to cook my breakfast. Fantastic place!!!!

Decent place to spend a night if you require a pit stop. Fairly clean and very quiet. They have AC, cable tv, a microwave and a mini fridge. All nice things to have, if needed. The only downside was that water pressure was very low and the bathroom fan was ridiculously loud in Room 13 where I stayed.

This is the perfect place to crash after a nice hike in Killarney! The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are cozy and clean. Would definitely come back!

On the day before our arrival, we were advised that our reservation (made several months earlier) would not be honoured in order to accommodate their long term guests. Although the property provided us with a choice of alternative accommodations that were located several kilometres away, this proved to be very inconvenient. As this appears to be their normal business practice, I would warm other travellers to avoid this property altogether and I would question why they should be allowed to be listed on any travel site.
