It was clean and comfortable.
It was being painted so the windows in the room were covered with plastic.

Don't be fooled by the exterior, which is in the process of being renovated. The whole interior is spotless. My room was very well presented and again very clean. Bed was comfortable, the whole place was very quiet and breakfast was a very pleasant surprise, with a range of foods. all fresh and well presented.
Initail impressions were a bit grim. The outside is in a shabby state (to be fair, the painters were there) The drive is a series of potholes which is quite unsafe for a motorcycle. I couldn't find the outside access to my room, so I asked for help. The place is old, but the owners are making an effort
