clean hotel. The room was cool and I could not get the temperature up. Noise from people outside and in the hallway could be clearly heard

Gorgeous room. Great price. Stairway was a bit too narrow and steep. Shower design was beautiful except u can’t turn on shower without getting wet.
All in all great room. Will be back.

The hotel has been renovated and is lovely. Our checkin went great…the gentleman was so helpful. The only disappointment was we didn’t seem to get the room I booked. I booked a premium king and the picture showed a good size room with sliding doors to a patio. We were given a handicap room that was actually quite small. The bathroom was as big as the bedroom which just had a window. We will return as we frequent the theatre and the hotel is very nice.

The room is small and unremarkable. The heating/AC blows right down onto the bed most of the night. The floors are all cold. The dining options were very limited as it is the off season.

Zero complaints about our stay at the Colonial! Our room was large and aesthetically very nice. Large windows, high ceilings… We loved it!

Everything was wonderful. Beds are great and room is so spacious and lively. The only improvement I would make are some curtains around the pull down shades to block all light filtering into the room at night.

I am so very upset with this booking. We booked the executive jacuzzi suite with the fireplace. Upon arriving we were not giving that room we had booked. We were given a room without a fireplace. I am so upset as we were celebrating our anniversary and paid for the best room and we’re downgraded upon arrival.

The mattress was a little bit hard but I still managed to get a good nights sleep. Clean, attractive hotel with nice and friendly staff. Would recommend

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic night at Colonial Hotels. The room was large and very clean, and the outside area with the fire pit was fantastic. It is walking distance to many restaurants and stores, we will definitely be back!

This was a great little getaway the property was beautiful as was the room and the wood fire in the court yard was the best just lioved it the manager was so kind and very helpful for everything we needed. Defanetly was exactly what we wanted and needed .

Hotel staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and easy to communicate with. Very close to beach, dining and shops. 10min walk to the beach.

In room 111 we had a drip from the ceiling that wet the bed and floor of the room. It started in the middle of the night and we lost sleep. When we brought this to the attention of the staff in the morning he informed us that there had been complaints about this before. If this is an ongoing issue why am I paying a premium price to stay there? The cost is above other hotels in the area so I expect a level of cleanliness. The shower head had mold in it but we didn't notice until after our shower. I can tell no one pays attention to that detail. I will not be revisiting this location.
I would like a refund from this experience. At least then I would consider coming back. If they don't clean up after their own rooms I would expect that they don't offer refunds. A beautiful place that is severely disappointing.

One of the BEST places my 4 friends and I have stayed at. The staff are absolutely amazing and went above & beyond! They provided marshmallows & roasters for the fire outside, ensured our fire was always fed and even brought us out water. So friendly. Such a great location too! Will definitely stay over and over again!

Beautiful set up, landscape was all new ans very cozy! Very friendly staff. One thing to add in would maybe be tea along with the coffee as well as a very light continental breakfast.

Nice and convenient location. Just a short walk down to the waterfront. Lots of restaurants and shopping close by. Staff was friendly and helpful at check in. Room was nice and spacious. Would definitely stay here again.

The mattress was hard and creaky and the room was pretty hot despite the A.C. There was also dried blood on the comforter. Loved the location but definitely wasn't that great of a room.

Nice hotel with great outdoor sitting areas. Great rooms, clean and efficient with modern design. Check in was fast and friendly. The night staff were a bit unfriendly and not very helpful.

Enjoyed our time in Grand Bend the weather and the location of the hotel was absolutely perfect; right across from the water activities/steps down to a dock, convenience store and EV car charging station, on the main strip of cute beach town restaurants which were delicious, and minutes walk to the beach. Highly recommend tubing and jet skis the water in the lake is beautiful and perfect way to stop in the middle of the lake for a swim in the Caribbean like water of Lake Huron. Loved the view of windmills from the lake too. Had a great time would go again!

We stayed at the Colonial, and absolutely loved it! Well located, parking included, and quiet. The staff that we interacted with, were wonderful :)
The only annoying thing about our stay, was in our suite. We were in room 45 I believe, (across the street from the main building), and there was emergency exit sign at the top of the stairs, in our unit. This sign was probably solar powered, so it was lit up all through the night. The bright light was right at eye level when in bed and was very bright.

Parking is difficult on Sunday (summer) beacuse there were other cars parked in the lots.

Staff were friendly and It has a great outdoor space to sit and enjoy some fires but the room was not as it was portrayed on the site. We selected a mid-high price range room and unfortunately it was dirty and more like a cheap motel than the luxury look on the website. We understand that it is Grand Bend in summer season and that staff are busy and swamped but for the cost per night it should be at least clean.
