Hello!
Terribly to book the place Oakwood resort spa. Other related services were not in there. Like Pool( cold water) sauna or pool attendants.
They are still have add card for spa in the room which is not running since 2 years. Totally disappointed. Rate was so expensive. If you needed to me deal with your web. 50% should be refunded cash to my card. Not any next booking or any promotional offers. I am sending the picture which I took while stay in my this visit.

This resort spoiled our vacations. Toilet flooded literally in the whole bathroom. We called up the house cleaning and an employee came giving us the plunge to clear off the toilet and we had to clean the bathroom ourself as there was no house keeping staff. After that tiring experience we thought about having a cup of coffee and machine was not working. For a family of four they have kept just one very tiny tube of toiletries. Pathetic experience!!

Golfing here is only a 9 hole course but it is well maintained and great for young golfers. The staff here are incredible! So friendly and warm! The clean sandy beach is only a 2 minute walk down a private paved road and here you can watch the most amazing sunsets. The pool is clean and quiet. I only wish they still.had a hot tub as it is nice after golfing all day to relax those muscles or even just to get warm on those chilly fall nights. The rooms are a little dated and run down. And I guess where there are pets allowed, our room had the distinct smell of cat urine when you first walked in. But the beds were clean and super cozy and the air conditioner was working so the room was quite comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious however the $38 steak at Dave's Pub was really bad. My family also said their food was disappointing there especially when the prices were so high. I recommend eating in town if you can because for the price, you can get more choices and better food. But yes our family had a great time overall and would come back again.

Such a nice old golf resort with a private beach

Beautiful property,it could use a bit of an upgrade. The bed was very comfortable. Had a hard time keeping the room cool.

I liked the gorgeous golf course I feel the place is expensive

unclean, bathroom smells like pee, carpet dusty, bed with coffee color stain under mattress. room service not always available, took an hour just to get a "do not disturb sign", order extra cup (poor quality paper cup) never came. host tried to charge fee on first day of booking but cannot and tried to communicate to expedia but no response and never hold a room until we arrived.

Nice place. Clean. Easy access to the beach and the indoor pool. Most of the territory is a golf course.

The property was clean and Ok size. The television was too small, it can be upgraded to a bigger screen. The toilette can use a lid, it didn't have a lid. It was very inconvenient trying to change in that small bathroom when the toilette was missing a lid and there was not space counter to put anything. The area around the property wasn't very inviting. The section where we were staying was surrounded by sheds were the golf course equipment, tools, etc, were kept, not a very good scenery.

We had an amazing two nights at the Oakwood Resort!
The staff were pleasant, courteous and helpful.
The grounds were beautiful and so peaceful. We enjoyed the pool as well.
It was so handy to walk to the private beach or drive 6 minutes to Grand Bend beach,
We enjoyed walking the strip with all the interesting shops.
Just a great little gem for a getaway!

This was our first time staying at Oakwood Resort as well as being in Grand Bend. Friendly staff, quiet space and very convenient for getting to the main beach area. We loved the path that provides access to a private beach. A nice way to end our day after having dinner on the night we stayed at Oakwood. We would definitely return to this location. A little of an older resort, but my family and I enjoyed the rustic feel. It served our needs perfectly.

Went during winter, no breakfast room service but close enough to the local hot spots.
Beautiful snowy view!

A winter storm hit 30 min before we arrived and almost missed the driveway. The place was almost empty, probably due to being the off season. We found the front desk and there was no one around. Despite calling out, there was no desk bell, after 15 min I left to try to find someone. A resident in the parking lot said that was the front desk so I went back.
Finally after another 5 min of waiting a girl came out of the backroom and when I complained about standing there waiting she seemed rather annoyed and said "I was on a call!"
Restaurant was closed which given time if year was understandable but at least some signage to let people know so you don't have to wander around in a blizzard. Not a lot of buildings interconnected so you have to go outside.
We had stayed here quite a few years ago and it was great but not so much this time.

The heater did not work and they did not move me to another room for 1&1/2
I asked for a recycle box and never received it

Everything is easy accessible. Look forward to coming back in the summer.

This is a very nice place, with helpful staff.
However, for travelers who are visiting in the "off season" I would advise you to inquire about exactly which of the amenities are open and which are closed for the season. The town of Grand Bend caters to summer tourists, and like many summer tourist towns, it tends to close down during the off season.

None of the facilities were available. Pool, gym, sauna all closed. It's a resort. Wasn't a good experience. Basically was like a motel.

Very unique grounds. Close to Lake Huron
I know it is celebrating it’s 100th year but a little attention to updating the rooms & especially the carpeting would go a long way to lifting up the general atmosphere of the place

My stay was during the off-season, in November...so I did not use any of the amenities. The rooms were clean and quiet and the staff was friendly.

We always stay here when we have a hockey tournament. Clean, cozy rooms and perfect location. Golf course, beaches and close to all amenities and the strip of Grand Bend. We will be back, thank you.
- This recent trip there was no microwave or coffee maker due to Covid. When will the madness end lol

A beautiful property and spacious room. A lovely place to visit with autumn leaves or after all the trees are decorated in twinkle lights.

LOCATION WAS GOOD
2.0
My issue with our stay is that there was literally nothing to do - the pool wasn’t open, hot tub wasn’t open, on-site restaurant was only open on weekends (we stayed on Thursday night), there wasn’t even a coffee maker in the room. I understand that we are still experiencing some Covid protocols however I stayed in hotels throughout the pandemic, during stage 2 and I had a coffee maker and fridge available for use in the room. As far as the pool and hot tub not being available, this was not stated on the website.
Coffee was available by the front desk but our building was a 5 minute walk from the front desk so it made more sense as I walked past the parking lot to get to the main building to just get in my car and go to Tim’s.
I understand why the on-site restaurant wouldn’t be open during the week if there was no one staying there but when I booked, the website told me that I got the second last room available. So that would indicate that the resort was fully booked and therefore I would expect the restaurant to be open to service all those people at least for the breakfast and dinner hours.
Everything else was fine.
