My family and I stayed for 2 nights where we stayed on the 3rd floor (executive). First night, the halls smelled like weed getting to our room. The second night, it smelled like cigarettes and its supposed to be a no smoking hotel. Our room looked nice at first, but we noticed a lot of things wrong. The microwave didnt spin and the knobs weren't working well. The walls and bedding were stained, the doors and furniture were chipped, and the toilet paper holder was coming off the wall. We loved the big jetted tub, but i was very reluctant to use it because it didn't seems like the jets were cleaned. I also liked that we could open our windows to get fresh air since the ceiling fan was rocking when we tried to use it. The beds and pillows were very firm and uncomfortable.
The gym they had wasnt really a gym. Breakfast wasnt very appealing. They offered bagels, toast, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, 2 fruits, and a muffin. From past reviews, protiens werent offered, but on our stay, they offered 2 breakfast sandwiches which were warm and toasted on the outside, but cold/frozen on the inside. It was nice they had a keurig in the room and breakfast area though. Parking is underground and convenient. The hours to talk to an actual person instead of a person virtually on a kiosk isnt accurate. They send you the code to your room, wifi, and other passcodes via email too. Overall, I dont think we would come back again.
Unfortunately, we didn't take pictures and I'm upset we didnt.

Upon arrival, prior to 7:00 pm, the virtual desk agent was all that was available. We were informed that the room type I booked had “sold out” and we were offered and “upgrade”. Only problem was that the upgrade was to a smaller sized room, with two beds. When I questioned the “upgrade” the agent admitted it was just an available room. Eventually, we got a room we could deal with but were properly disappointed with the selling out of our pre-paid reservation. Not a good look. We found out one of our friends had the same “experience” on the same evening. Overall nice place, clean modern rooms but felt more like an Air B&B experience with the minimal staff. Did not like the room swap, would have stayed elsewhere for a bigger room had we known they “sold out”.

This hotel is run by a virtual kiosk with a virtual video feed of someone gos knows where that checks you in and out or handles any of your needs. Super annoying. The bed was so uncomfortable. It’s an old hotel that’s been refurbished and although the photos look nice upon close up it’s not good quality and cheaply done. You have codes to get into your door and the outside door. Both evenings we stayed there the outside door code we were given didn’t work when we arrived later in the evening and we had to go through the hassle of calling a number verifying we were guests and be sent a new code via email. All while standing outside in the dark in a parking garage which is where the entrance is. The hallway and multipurpose sitting area smelled overwhelmingly of glue when we arrived. It was a decent price which is why we booked here, but it is right near a busy road and all night the cars and noise woke my husband up. Our view was of the road and the area of town is not good. Homeless people were frequently in the area.

It was very unsafe and scary to not have a front desk attendant available for check in. We had to wait a long time in an unsafe part of town at night.

We arrived after a 2 hour drive around 7. Both my kids were in need to go to the bathroom and they have a kiosks to check in. It would not connect us to anyone for 20 minutes and there was nobody on site to assist. My kids were trying to hold it as much as they could. Finally someone appeared and helped, but definitely not the best first impression

We got to the hotel late, around 10pm. We couldn't get in. Some other guests let us in. Check-in is a kiosk- no one available. After searching for several minutes someone came out and said they would get me help. Kiosk came on and we were able to check in. Room had one bath towel and no hot water. Next morning water was warmer but still lacking towels. A nice place but a bit disappointing.

Lamps were not working in first room (took 3 staff members an hour to find out I need to change rooms), changed to second room with sticky hard floor and wet carpet near bed. Microwave inaccessible in current area, had to move to another plug, asked for water from customer service machine, she said to purchase water from market, there was nothing stocked in market, then she said there is no water available til morning. I went to bed without water. Upon going to continental breakfast the next morning, I found a water dispenser in dining area.
After checking out, the machine customer service asked how my stay was, I said it was okay, and she did not ask how things could have been better or cared to ask what happen.
All staff were very nice, I don’t even care that some staff did not understand English. My concern was that some did not know what to do in situations like how I had no access to water. It wasn’t a good experience.
Also was unaware this was a best western hotel. It does say it’s a BW signature collection, but it seems like that was meant to be hidden.

Overall, it was a terrible stay. The room had no hot water. When brought up to the on screen kiosk attendant, we were offered a room to shower in (not simply a new room), and were promised that the issue would be corrected. Well, it was never corrected. No hot water for the entire stay and no offer to transfer rooms or come in and repair the problem. The issue was brought up again on the last evening and we were promised a call back in the morning with some sort of compensation/resolution. Again, NOTHING. This place is trash.

The expedia confirmation email stated the management is Kasa but an email will be sent to me for check in process, which was not the case as I did not receive anything. I called Kasa number provided by Expedia comfirmation email but Kasa told me that they are no longer managing this lroperty. I called the property direcrly and was told to check in straight in lobby. Once I arrived, there was a monitor with a live person who did the video check in and it was not bad. The room is super clean and we wre satisfied. The next morning breakfast option is limted but was sufficient for us. Overall it is a good stay except the information provided by Expedia was not up to date.

When we first arrived we were not made aware that we’d be checking in with a virtual person that should be told to customers in advance . The code the person gave us to the room that didn’t work I then had to wait in line for 30 minutes and wait to speak to someone. There is no privacy to the check in process people are standing behind you which to me has to be a violation of privacy . I then could not find clean towel they explained there’s no on staff to provide them they had me searching the lobby for towels . Out shower was dirty , the sink didn’t drain bc there was a plumbing issue. Just overall not a pleasant experience I didn’t feel like there was any privacy to the check in process . I want a partial refund

I didnt even get to stay the registration process was ridiculous i was in parking lot trying to register for over an hour, at which i was frustrated and exhausted worst response time and vietual service Ive ever had. I will never stay there again.

I stay here very often and I reserved a "superior king" room as I always do, but the room I was given was not the usual. It was smaller and noisy on the street side. The remote management claimed this was a superior room but it looks nothing like the picture.

This place is awesome. I would recommend this to all my colleague when they come to Silicon Valley. This is also very close to West field mall and Santana Row which I like. Checking in is very easy... huge room.. clean ..coffee in the room...very nice! definitely stay here again.

It was horrible we actually came to relax and just rest and watch a little tv well the first night the internet was down for like 6 hrs and the following day off and on all day we'd just start watching a movie and the internet would go down i spoke to customer service twice they said that they would talk with the expidition team about compensation but they never got back to us please respond asap

I would highly recommend the stay here. I wanted a different room and they accommodated my request for every thing I needed, very clean, and I will definitely return if I need to. I like the new check - in and control they have by doing it virtual it was very much easy and I will recommend it to all my friends and family. Even considering the time them getting back to me right away from email and text. It was done immediately and I was very happy with the outcome. It was quite and relaxing 😌 very pleasant

I stay at this place often due to its convenient location and reasonable price. However, there is almost always something missing or broken in the room and there is no one onsite to fix problems. This time I was not able to connect to the internet and the coffee maker was broken. I didn't bother reporting it to Kasa due to my past experience with them not being able to resolve problems the same day.

This is a beautiful property. Self checkin. All done electronically. The property is brand new! The rooms are spacious and in top notch condition. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again ever if traveling to San Jose! A must place to book for your needs!

Kasa was perfect for a one night stay! A number of other reviewers have noted the lack of daily housekeeping, which wasn't an issue for us, but frankly I would not find that a problem were we to stay for a few days. The price point is excellent, the facilities were very clean, and the instructions to enter were extremely clear. Would definitely recommend to anyone in San Jose for a short stay who needs a cheap, clean, and easy place to sleep.

I enjoyed this hotel because of the ambiance, but this room had a strobe effect going on with the lights that was not tolerable. In addition, the television did not work at all. It was extra loud being on the second floor. The hotel is comfortable, nice, and modern, and I would book again, but felt like I got a bad room this time.
