I had a fantastic stay at Vintage Hotel Petrisberg. The property has a lovely character, and I was especially impressed by how everything was clean. The hotel is looking to Trier from top, due to that you need to walk (we prefer) or by taxi/car - highly recommended!
The location of the hotel is a bit outside, in case you need something during the evening; it is very hard to gather if you don't have car or you didn't call for a taxi.

Great hotel with a fantastic view over Trier.
Very helpful and nice hotel staff!
It is worth the effort to walk or bycycle to come to this hotel, also it is only 20 min walk downtown and taxi back to the top is cheap.

Charming hotel with friendly staff. Room fairly simple but adequate for a couple of nights. Great balcony view over the city. Good selection at breakfast and option for a pre-ordered evening meal if needed. Plenty of parking.
Would have appreciated tea & coffee making facilities in room.

We loved the entire property! It was clean, ALL the staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room faced the woods and we even saw a deer one morning. The breakfast was amazing. The location was above the city looking down, and only a 20 minute walk downhill, if that. The number 88 bus took us back to the hotel. We had free parking at the hotel and it didn’t make sense to drive it downtown for 3 minute drive and then try to find a parking spot and then pay for it! Walking is much faster. We caught the bus close to the road going up to the Hotel and the bus driver didn’t even charge us, that was nice!
