If in Coimbra again, we’d want to stay here again.

We loved the peace and quiet and the lovely setting. The apartment was spacious and well laid out and we really appreciated being able to sit out in the garden. Ana the owner made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of information about the area.

Ok but could have been much better

The place is ok. A old and cold property but two extra heaters supplied by the landlord helped keeping the place watm. Sadly the hot shower tap wasn't working so we could not shower.

Bad experience if you are the only guest

Garden

It’s horrible to check in in evening time, like a place without people living for ages. The gate can be opened without access code, the style is like mid century with some Halloween theme. The WiFi doesn’t existing, the shower head is broken, the water can only last 20 mins, which is not enough for family , need wait another half hour to heat. The host is not responding for queries. The garden is beautiful though, but overall experience is bad.

Old Delapidated Palace

Location on edge of Coimbra. You need a car but plenty of parking. Bathroom was satisfactory but not for more than 2 guests.

Reserved 2 bedroom unit and was given 3 bedroom with 7 single beds of which none was comfortable. Grounds and buildings lacked upkeep. The pool was not cleaned and had no deck or chairs. Very dark rooms with no AC or heating. No sign at road so do not arrive after dark. There are 6 rooms that are in former farm workers rooms and not the main house. With some major investment this old palace could be a great hotel.
