This is a traditional Japanese ryokan with an onsen. This year they have at least one or two staff members who speak English.
I visited last year and returned this year and I’m disappointed to say there’s been no change. Even the snacks and the Raman are exactly the same. They need to offer more variety or it’s becoming boring.

Staff is professional & intense. Facilities are well ready for use. Car park is adequate. Breakfast is great if you love Japanese style

Good location, big hotel with lots of amenities. Expensive but very good breakfast with lots of choices. Whole hotel is covered in tatami mats so you change out of your shoes in the lobby.
We didn't have a chance to use the private onsens because the hotel was so busy and there were queues in front of each of them. Each group can use it for up to 45 minutes, so you could be standing there for hours waiting for your turn.
