Lovely appointed rooms, clean and discreet, good facilities and helpful staff. Breakfast was also good compared to offerings in the city
You could hear a bit of noise at night so ask for a room away from the lifts, but still quieter than most hotels. Also you do have to factor in that extra travel time, but once you figure it out it's not so hard to get around and very cost effective.

Staff were so kind and helpful, extremely clean with great housekeeping and everything maintained to an extremely high standard. Soa was a great bonus after a long day of sight seeing. One stop from the main Kyoto station making it accessible. Big rooms for japan as well. Great stay.
