We received a very warm welcome.
The room was fantastic! Very specious and stylish. Every day we came back to the hotel with a smile on our faces.

One of the best hotels that we have stayed in. Conveniently located in the vicinity of the Shijo metro station. A small hotel with only two rooms per floor. We got a spacious room with a large bed, a small living-room annex (with a small fridge and a coffee machine), and a toilet separated from the bathroom. There was also a small balcony. Pyjamas and slippers were provided. Breakfast (Japanese or European variant) served to the room, at the time that you can select. A very comfortable bed. Bathroom equipped with a small electric heater that can be used to dry e.g. a washed t-shirt (convenient when your stay happens during a heat-wave period).
Nothing major. Lights are controlled by a panel close to the bed, so there is no a switch that you could use to turn the light at, e.g., the entrance to the room (when you are there).

Very spacious and well-appointed rooms - felt more like a small apartment with separate toilet, bathroom and separate shower/ bath as well as a lounge/ seating area off the bedroom. Huge beds, very comfortable. Right around the corner is an excellent supermarket with great meal options. Plenty of coffee and restaurant options nearby.
Location is a little further from the centre than the first place we stayed in Kyoto - I preferred being closer to the river. That said it’s a short walk of 15 minutes or so only.

The breakfast was delivered every morning, was healthy and good variety!
The staff was very extremely friendly and helpful.
The location is also close to many restaurant options and a very good supermarket.
