Perfect location for a good price especially it is walkable to the Carlsbad village and the oceanfront. Room is very clean and the bed is so good... everything is so CLEAN!
No air conditioning. There are few fans in the room but it was so warm/hot in the room especially when it is on second floor. I recommend installing wall air conditioner/heat unit (common in europe) inside rooms for extra comfort. Everything is so perfect and clean but I didn't sleep well due to room being so warm during the heat wave. Windows open is still not enough with fans.

Good location but sad that the closest beach is so eroded right now from storms. I have never seen it so rocky and in such bad shape.
The inn is close to town as well to enjoy stores and restaurants.
Our room never got below 78 degrees with 3 fans going. It was so uncomfortable. We stayed in the 2nd floor room Carlsbad which had an old very tall bed that required a stool for me to even get in and I am 5'7. Odd.
Everything needs a little spiff up. The stairs were worn and chipped. The towels frayed. The front screen ripped. The beach equipment old and ripped.
Booking had this property rated a 4 star. It is definitely a two star. It has none of the amenities of a 4 star property. We were very disappointed.
