Feel like at home

The place was very cosy, feel like at home feeling. It was exceptionally clean, bright, with friendly staff. Every morning breakfast was freshly made and tasty. Location was perfect with beautiful views (although was challenging to climb hill with luggages, but it could be counted as morning/evening fitness activity)

A highly recommended accommodation in the center of Horta that we would choose again anytime.

The accommodation is lovely and modernly furnished, overall very well maintained and clean and centrally located in Horta. Horta, the center of Faial, is a good starting point for all activities on the island. We were welcomed very nicely and received helpful tips for our stay. The breakfast was perfectly fine and is served in the communal kitchen (8.00 - 09.30). Several good restaurants, shops, and the port are within walking distance. Overall, however, a rental car for Faial is definitely recommended, as the buses only run a few times a day. A taxi from the airport to the accommodation costs 11-15€. The owners offer a whalewatching tour, which was very worthy from our point of view, as we felt their passion for the animals and the ocean. In addition to the unique experiences with whales and dolphins, we also received interesting information in advance.

We had booked a room with a sea view. Because of the street directly in front of the house, it was often too loud to sleep with open windows. However, this is only a small point of criticism.

An enjoyable stay in a place with lots of character but more measures are needed to manage the heat on hot days and a qu

The modern and bespoke atmosphere and style. Nice to be somewhere which reflected the interest of the area especially as we’re very interested in marine wildlife. The breakfast was excellent and our host was very attentive during breakfast and during our stay. The room was very comfortable in terms of facilities but too hot - see below.

It was particularly warm during our stay and although the electric fan helped, our room was over warm and stuffy. In the breakfast room it was the same and the sun poured in via the front door which made it uncomfortable to sit at the table unless there was space in the shade. A blind of some sort is needed on the front door as they are on the windows. We also missed having our own balcony or at least a communal space (with shade) to enjoy the view etc. Shame the balcony on one of the rooms isn’t used as a communal space - great if you are able to book that room but not so if it isn’t available.

magnificent!! will be back.

The property has a great location. A beautiful view of the Pico mountain. very tastefully decorated and above all a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good also.

Superb

Very nice and super clean place. Good breakfast. Centrally located within walking distance to the bars and restaurants of Horta.

The only downside is that the cobbeld road is very noisy when the cars are passing even with the windows closed. It was ok since traffic stopped around midnight, but if you are noise sensitive maybe take a room that is not facing the road/ sea.

Excellent, facility was clean, beautifully decorated, the staff was the best!! , breakfast was included with the room was outstanding, the view from the room was spectacular , room was perfectly laid out- a model for others to use, facility on a city road an ease walk into town, great stay, plan to return next year - a good value

Clean and tidy

Breakfast didn't look like the photos advertised on booking.com.and there was nowhere outside to sit, but not really complaints, only if being very particular

Exceptional

The lodge is very cosy, clean and has all the facilities you need. The breakfast is fantastic, but usually a bit too much :) The location is only a few minutes from the town center by foot and provides a stunning view over the harbour and if the weather allows it the neighbouring island of Pico and its impressive mountain.

The traffic on the cobblestone streets can get a bit loud, but this is probably the same all around town.

Perfect place, really!

The place is really perfect: the location, the house itself is modern and nicely maintained, the room is extremely spacious, the breakfasts are always delicious with a great variety, and Julia, the house keeper, is the sweetest! Also, you can use the kitchen and it has everything you need for cooking.

Amazing delixe

Amazing room with a panoramic balcony. Our room was really cozy and romantic, with a direct view on Pico Mountain. The staff is lovable and the location is perfect to reach every spot in the city. Room dedicated shelves are also available to store your own food as well as a fridge.

Slim picking for breakfast if you don’t eat cheese or dairy products in general.

Everything. The concept the quality the value for price and the cleaneness , also Julia was superb at breakfast. Exceeded expectations.
