The staff at the front desk was polite and friendly.
The partitions the rooms are divided with are very thin and you could hear the Nextdoor rooms.

Location was good for where I needed to go but long walk to main town

I loved the location, the shower and the recently refurbed fresh look to the place. It certainly had a comfy bed and was a really good sized room. I especially appreciated the bathroom fan went off swiftly after the lights and wasn't bothered by other guests bathrooms either :)
No bed side lamps and MASSIVELY bright LED light spotlights at one end of the room or Super Bright LED feature light at the other in bright blue white. This was less than optimum and meant using the bathroom light in the evening and torches on phones to get to bed after the big light went off.
Also stank of smoke. But not the hotel/guest house's fault, as signs everywhere said no smoking.
Fridge door could do with reversing but managable :)
