The facilities were amazing and the view of the mountains were beautiful. We had a great time during our stay.
There were a few dead bugs laying in our room. But everything else was great!

Acros Resort is a decent hotel located few kilometers from Orikum by the main road connecting Vlore with Alabanian Riviera. If one has a car it’s a good starting point to visit Vlore (30 min away), Dhermi (also 30 min) or Himare (less than 1 hour).
The hotel consists of two main buildings connected by a smaller one. There are in total 40+ rooms. On the ground floor of one of the buildings a reception and a restaurant are located, in the other building a fitness room and saunas, while in the middle one an in-door swimming pool. There’s also a larger outdoor swimming pool. I would say that all these are benefits of Acros since such equipment, especially an in-door swimming pool, usually can be found in a larger hotels.
There’s a free parking for guests in front of the hotel. The complimentary breakfasts are fine, the choice of products is not very wide, but fine for few days long stays. Nothing to complain much. We ate also lunch at the hotel’s restaurant several times and all we chose was tasty .
The triple room is quite large with double and a single beds. There’s also wardrobe, a desk, an armchair and a coffee table, a TV and a mini-fridge. The room is airconditioned. The bathroom is also quite large, with a walk in shower. At the balcony there are two chairs. Unfortunately, apart from the view on the mountains there’s also a view on a large farming industry building just behind the hotel’s wall.
The hotel is located above the sea level in a valley which is open to a sea one side. In the result it’s more windy there than by the seaside itself. In a warm summer it’s actually a benefit.
There are few improvements that could be desired in the room, some easy, some more complicated: in the wardrobe there were only four hangers; there’s no free electric socket next to the desk, so if one needs to work then has to take a long cable to be able to connect to sockets located next to the bed; the air conditioner is located just above the bed, so can’t be really used at night. The room’s walls are not soundproof so one can hear e.g. neighbors watching TV or arguing.
Additionally, one needs a car to access the hotel as there are no really public transport options available. The last item: I had a bank card, which I usually didn’t use. I used it though to pay at the hotel. Several days after I returned home it appeared that someone copied the cards data and used it to book on-line a luxurious hotel, as well as made some other payments. I don’t suggest anything, but watch out your cards, also while paying at Acros.

The hotel is beautiful and definitely has a real “wow” factor when you first arrive. From all the hotels we stayed at during our trip, this was probably the one that felt the most luxurious. From the pictures, we were expecting a classy and exclusive place, especially because of its secluded location surrounded by mountains, and the first impression certainly lived up to those expectations.
The property itself is beautiful, with an elegant white building and a stunning outdoor pool, which is definitely one of the highlights of the hotel. There is also an indoor pool, as well as a gym, bar, and restaurant.
We also really appreciated that they offer family rooms, as this was not always easy to find during our trip. We booked one for our stay, and it was nice to have this option available. The room was clean and provided the space we needed as a family.
Overall, the setting is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by mountains, and the hotel makes a very impressive first impression.
Unfortunately, despite all the positive points mentioned above, this was the hotel where we had the highest expectations during our trip and ultimately felt the most disappointed. The property looks luxurious and makes a wonderful first impression, but for us, the overall level of comfort and service did not quite match what we would expect from a four-star hotel.
Because the hotel is quite isolated, we expected to find everything we might need without having to leave the property. There is a restaurant, but we found the prices quite high, and there were very few options for something small or casual between meals. This was particularly inconvenient when travelling with children, as there were no simple snacks or even things like ice cream available when they were hungry before dinner.
Another inconvenience was that the bar seems to be operated separately from the hotel. Drinks cannot be charged to your room and have to be paid for immediately. This is not very practical when you are relaxing by the pool and may not have your wallet with you. We also sometimes felt pressured to pay straight away, which took away from the relaxed atmosphere we were expecting.
The air conditioning in our room was also quite noisy during the night, making it difficult to get the restful sleep we had hoped for.
Finally, although the breakfast buffet offered a good variety of food, the hot dishes were not kept warm throughout the service. If you arrived some time after breakfast had started, things such as eggs and sausages were already cold.
Overall, the property itself is beautiful and has a lot of potential, but unfortunately the experience did not live up to the expectations created by its appearance and four-star positioning. With more attention to these practical details and guest comfort, the experience could be significantly improved.
