Experiència molt agradable a Gudvangen

L'allotjament per a 8 persones és una casa sencera amb dues plantes. Cada habitació té la seva pròpia pica. Tot està força nou. L'esmorzar és fantàstic, molt complet i saboròs. La localització és ideal

Very mixed bag, though glorious location. Would save my money and stay in a cheaper place here.

The hotel is in an unbelievably gorgeous location on Nærøfjord. The gentleman at the reception, who checked us in, was very friendly, although he was incredibly busy. The room, a little efficiency, motel-like place, far from the water, was very new and clean. The little coffee shop/bakery/pizza place next door that's part of the whole outfit had great food and also very friendly people.

You pay for the location. It was an absolute zoo. The breakfast was all very low-quality, mass-produced stuff. One of the worst we had during our entire trip. We didn't try the restaurant because we didn't want to be ripped off. The pictures of the rooms on the website are very misleading. Most of the rooms are like motel rooms in the US and look nothing like the rooms advertised on the website. There's nothing WRONG with them, but it's false advertising, in my opinion. Had I known, I would have booked a different hotel for less money.

Good backup lodging!

We were able to book a room the day we needed it due to another lodge having a duplicate reservation. Good restaurants.

Superb

The location is just perfect: inside the fjord surrounded by mountains, with a view to the highest waterfall of Norway, if I'm not mistaken. The hotel consists of several houses, we got a house quite far from the main building with restaurants, so we had to have a 3-4 minute walk. The house was clean, with a fresh interior. It was possible to park a car next to the house.

Due to the rainy weather, it was a bit difficult to get into the house due to unpaved road, which was quite dirty because of the rain. Inside, there was no place to leave the shoes to dry (we had to leave them on a laminated floor in the narrow hallway, it wasn't possible to keep socks dry when walking from the stairs to the ground floor). There were also no hooks to leave wet jackets.

Superb

Located beside the fjord with stunning views; tourist attractions and activities were within the vicinity, like the Viking village, fjord cruise, and water sports. There was also a convenience store outside the hotel.

Everything has been perfect!! I'm glad I choose here to spend 3 days in Gudvangen & Flam!

My 2 nights here were fantastic! The room is clean and comfortable. The location is lovely with a great view surrounded! The breakfast is delicious. They also have a restaurant offering dinner which is excellent and the price is friendly. I would suggest having dinner here. Also, the staffs are friendly and helpful. At the beginning before my arrival, I was a bit worried that the location & the view wouldn't be as nice as those hotels in Flam, HOWEVER, I find out that this hotel in Guvangen is wonderful!!! I would come here again :) Thank you so much!

What an amazing hotel! There has been so much thought, love, and care put into this place. The most unique hotel I've ever been to, with some of the most gorgeous views in the world! And the Viking Valley is an absolute must-see!

Scenic hotel, perfect for viking family holidays :)

The location is spectacular, and the windows at the viking-themed rooms do the place justice! It is absolutely recommended that you go the extra mile and book the themed rooms for the best experience :) We visited during winter and the snowed mountains of the fjord made laying on the bed feel like flying! The hotel is 5 min by foot from Njardarheimr, the "viking village" which is also a great to visit, but preferably in the summer as there are more inhabitants. The breakfast is not the best I have seen, but is quite decent and gets the job done. I particularly recommend this hotel to families with children.

In our room, the glass ceiling was a little bit cracked - just an aesthetic damage but worth mentioning nonetheless.

I’d highly recommend this hotel after a boat ride through the fjord from Flåm to Gudvangen!

skylights with views of the mountains, the rustic Viking theme, the owner who lit a fire in the reception area for us as we sipped hot glug.

Exceptional

I would recommend this hotel to anyone, even if its just for the location. Simply due to the location, if you are travelling in snow and rain months bring Ice grips for your shoes- it will make the entire experience safe and stress free.

We loved staying in a “Viking room” with views of the fjord!

Friendly staff, beautiful views of the fjord and a series of waterfalls, and neat “Viking” themed rooms. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and we loved the floor to ceiling windows in the huge dining area (with more views of the fjord)! Bar and restaurant open late but we had already eaten. This place exceeded my expectations and was a cool resting place for the night. Best WiFi of the trip so far, too.

gudvangen is a plave not to be missed in your itinerary . and gudvangen fjordtell is a good choice for stay

it is situated smack in the valley. the view is simply astounding. the breakfast served was yummy

we booked the apmt for 6. it was small to accomodate 6 pax with big bags. somehow ee managed 😍

Good

Very nice themed hotel with only 12 rooms. The rooms are spacious and have a nice ceiling window to observe the stars at night.

The carpet of the room is quite old and shows various spill stains and usage smudges.

Breathtaking view and super comfortable stay

Everything was excellent. Staff was very nice and friendly. Room was clean and warm (you can adjust temperature on a heater). We stayed at Viking Room - it's exact as on pictures - all is made from wood with big warm fur on a bed. Breakfasts were not super various, but tasty and you can cook waffles yourself. But the best is location!!!! Views are awesome and no people crowds as in Flam

Panorama Roof was misted almost all the time, so don't expect to see stars at night )))
