An interesting stay.
The room was tiny and the bed was clearly designed for two people who either don’t move in their sleep or don’t particularly like each other. Turning over required planning permission.
The toilet seat was another highlight. It slid sideways when you sat down and repeatedly attempted to nip your backside. Not something I’ve previously considered a hotel amenity, but certainly memorable.
Tea-making facilities were also something of a concept rather than a reality. We had to ask reception twice for tea bags, milk and sugar. The maid had clearly visited the room at some stage because two cups had been turned upside down with spoons arranged neatly on top. Very artistic. Unfortunately, the beds remained unmade, the towels weren’t replaced and the room wasn’t straightened. Still, the cups looked lovely.
Dinner was actually tasty, although the steak was so small it looked more like a beef cheek with ambition. I genuinely thought there might be more coming.
Overall, the hotel appears to specialise in minimalism.
Minimal room.
Minimal bed.
Minimal steak.
Minimal housekeeping.
Maximum risk to your backside when using the toilet.
A unique experience, in every sense.
