2 beaches at the resort are clean and nice to spend time.
Balcony of room had plenty of space and nice seating with great view.
The resort is on a steep hillside with many big steps and very steep paths - you need to be able bodied and fit. Walking out to local cafes is up a very very very steep road.
Room is small with very little storage space.
Breakfast was ok, but often cold.
It’s located a long way from the main areas.

Staff at the reception were very kind. Breakfast was delicious. Room was nice.
In general, feels disconnected the bars and restaurants of the hotel and it is a strange vibe that the people from the outside bring into the property. There is a lot of construction bits around the external areas of the rooms on the ways around the hotel, these should be cleared up to make the space look more looked after. Other hotels in the area offer a few free shuttles to areas of the island during the day to make it easier for guests to visit the location, this hotel doesn’t and their taxis are very expensive, so you either stay, rent a motorbike or walk for at least 15min to get to the close shop

Amazing stay at Relax Freedom Beach in Koh Tao! Everything was perfect from start to finish. The location is absolutely beautiful, and the beach is simply breathtaking peaceful, crystal clear water and a truly tropical atmosphere.
The staff were wonderful, so kind, friendly, and always ready to help. They really made our stay even more enjoyable.
If you’re looking for a beautiful and relaxing place to stay in Koh Tao, we highly recommend Relax Freedom Beach. We loved every moment and would definitely come back! 🌴✨

The location is good with its proximity to Freedom Beach. However if you’re not on a motorbike taking very expensive taxis into town add up and make you isolated. The restaurant staff were lovely with our son which was appreciated.
This hotel felt tired and rough around the edges, and we were not impressed by the treatment from management. My father was quite ill during our stay and was very dizzy, making walking the treacherous walkways dangerous. When I asked the manager if they could perhaps be changed to another, more accessible room the hotel manage raised her voice and lectured me that we should have done our research on Ko Tao and if we couldn’t walk over rocks then we shouldn’t have come. For the rest of our stay she avoided eye contact and not once asked after my father and his health. Besides the disrespect of management this hotel doesn’t deserve three stars as we found mouldy shower curtains in our rooms, trash on walkways and the wifi never worked in either of our rooms (which the staff told us was an island-wide outage but this wasn't the case every time we went into town).
We will not be staying here again and would not recommend this hotel for young families or anyone that doesn’t feel comfortable walking on tiny walkways with hardly any railings or standing up to a hotel manager.
