Best view in Koh Tao

The location is exceptional, we had the rooms with the closest access to the sea and sunrise were amazing. We loved how helpful the staff was and the additional service such as kayak, snokerl, etc. The rooms romantic sea view was nice although it misses a bit of renovation.

Be aware that its many steps to the best view rooms, in my case I had pain at one of my feet so wasn't easy to go up and down. Plus don't expect sandy beach at the bottom of the hotel it is only rocks and direct sea access. Needs renovation in the rooms and bathroom.

Perfect, please, if you want to live close to nature and like snorkelling and local food.

Beautiful location at Shark Bay with good access to the small beach, the sea, and the beach bar 😎

Some technical issues with the air conditioning, but overall everything was fine and the staff is very friendly

Good location. The bay at the hotel is a great place to go snorkeling. The hotel provided a mask with snorkel for free. Nice breakfast. The stuff was friendly and helpful.

The bungalows all look out over shark bay. There is a track (very steep) down to the tiny part of the bay that is free. The bay gets very busy but it is perfectly situated for swimming with turtles and baby sharks

The bathroom really smelt bad and our bungalow was situated directly above the workers quarters and directly below the restaurant so it was often noisy. Advertised as ‘free access’ to shark bay but in reality- this place is simply situated above the already free bay. On check out- we were charged for a towel that ‘couldn’t be found’ but we did not take towels out of the room and did not steal one so they either did not look hard enough or it was misplaced by them.

Wonderful location in a quiet area of Koh Tao with fabulous views over the bay.

Beautiful location with a superb view of the bay. Lovely staff. Great space to have breakfast in the morning - not a huge choice but good quality. Lots of rustic charm! Good taxi rates.

Restaurant and bar closed very early (might be because we visited in July).

Over priced for what it was

Close to Shark Bay and theres a beautiful view from the restaurant. The Thai option for breakfast was tasty (although they labelled it chicken, but it was pork - be careful if you don't eat pork!).

It's on the side of a massive hill so the only way to access the rooms is by very uneven steps. Other reviews have said it's "dated", which is very true. I'd say "run down" is more accurate. For the same price you can get a place that is much better value for money. The mosquito nets don't cover the bed (and you need them - lots of trees and there were mozzies EVERYWHERE!!!). Cats hang out on the balcony (fine if you like them). Not a lot of variety for breakfast and every batch of eggs was super rubbery.

Nice place surrounded by nice beaches

Our family bungalow was really cute. The terrace with the amazing seaview was great. The stuff is gorgious. The little beach is lovely, but really small and it's hard to get into the water when it is low tide. There is s free shuttle to and from the pier.

A waterrefill place would be nice as the next supermarket is not really close if you have to walk.

Relaxed place with a beautiful surrounding!

The staff is lovely and really helpful. The view is amazing. It's really quiet and beautiful nature around. The bungalows are spacious and lovely decorated. Everything you need is available. It's a little paradise!We love it!

Beautiful view in quiet location

The staff was really really nice, helpful and sweet. We had two bungalows one had a big issue with the ac of the neighbour bungalow and they did everything they could to solve the issue. The seaview bungalows are really nice with a beautiful view over the shark bay. Wouldn't recommend good seaview at the sea front. Good snorkeling with turtles in front of the hotel.

The stairs.... too many expecially for the good seaview bungalows. The bathrooms would need some updating.

Great stay at Taatoh!

Great access to Shark Bay within walking distance to Freedom beach and Chalock Baan Kao Bay. Great view from Bungalow and very private nice deck. Staff lovely and very helpful

Peaceful place with beautiful views and friendly staff

This place was perfect. Very nice staff, beautiful area. Relaxing atmosphere and the Seaview bungalows are great. There's also direct access to a part of shark bay. Even better, the resort allowed us to use their kayak at no extra cost. Really nice people and place.

Exceptional

This is tge second time I have been here, and it never disappoints. The rooms are unique and overlook an amazing bay. The snorkelling is great and the staff are very friendly friendly and professional.

I would suggest hiring a motorbike as it's too far to walk to walk anywhere.

Very nice view of the ocean, good food in the restaurant. Good wifi.

Terrible access to other places (only by taxi). Although I got an upgrade for the room, I was only informed that there was construction in the hotel facilities when I got there. Very loud work from construction in the afternoon.

Best place in town

Great place to stay, excellent service and excellent room, and amenities, people are so kind, happy and grateful, the place is near the best 360° Point View and the top of the world in Ko Tao, for me the best of the best in Ko Tao. P.S.: There a lot of stairs and big steps to going down at the beach or up at the viewpoint be careful with your knees, you need a good condition for this places.

Superb

Balcony with beautiful view on the shark Bay. Very good place for snorkeling. The sea was a bit of trouble but it was so nice, we have seen a lot of fish, a lot of different species. When we arrived, we are upgraded because your room wasn't the best view. Chiang was very kind and listening.

The price for eating is expensive. That all, the rest of our trip was perfect.

We had such a calm stay, the view was beautiful, the scooter rental easy and pretty accessible.

one night stay but a lifetime memory.

we stayed here for one night… but will remember for a lifetime. I’ve done a detailed VLOG here https://youtu.be/2685RM0AJtg The stairs to the beach nearly killed me! It’s extremely hard work in the blazing sun but… that is my only complaint. The bed and the room was beautiful, comfortable, bliss. Koh Tao is amazing. The snorkelling was mind blowing. The food and atmosphere really tasty and reasonably priced and most importantly the staff. The staff were fun, friendly, cool, happy. My daughter and I loved our stay here. I was extremely sad to go back to Koh Samui. I hope to visit again one day.

It had a beautiful view, great location, and amazing staff. The breakfast was delicious and the restaurant was a good place for supper if we didn't feel like going into town.

There were a few open cracks and holes for critters to get in. Nothing horrendous, but we did have a small gang of house geckos and a massive spider in our room. Nothing was dangerous. We named the geckos, they were a bit noisy at night. The spider was creepy.

def not a 3 star hotel, barely 1. the bathroom was dirty and dripping no room service towels were smelling the rooms are not like the pictures at all we were super disappointed

I had a wonderful stay at this place.

We stayed in a Deluxe Room which is located right at the Shark Bay entrance. We could just walk down the stairs to swim with the turtles and sharks. I enjoyed watching the sunrise at the bay everyday. The staffs were extremely polite and helpful. The breakfast is a good quality set menu. The dinner dishes are also yummy.
