View from the room, good location for snorkeling
Mess in communication - I informed the staff 3x about our departure but when I went to the reception the night before, they didn’t have a clue. There were 3 umbrellas on the beach, all of them were broken. They replaced one of them but the rest remained the same even I asked them to fix it. The location is not good for swimming and it is far from everything. Food in the restaurant was tasty but overpriced and they didn’t claim the final price but the price without VAT and service fee… I was very disappointed

The pool room was quite spacious and it’s nice to have a private pool that’s not so shallow. Having a dive centre at the resort was also super convenient. Snorkeling around the hotel was a bit murky but still got a good chance to spot a shark and one of the biggest turtles I’ve ever seen. The climb up from the room, which most people complain about, was rough. I counted over 200 steps! However, it’s good to help keep fit, gets you going in the morning and helps you earn your breakfast 😂
Food options at the resort weren’t great, breakfast was pretty basic but it was fine for anyone planning morning dives and needed a light stomach. Also limited shuttle times meant you need taxis if you want to stay in town beyond 6pm but they’re pretty easy to get at the Pier or from reception.

Nice area and diving centre was in the hotel.
Spa was under construction

The hotel was beautiful. It was really one of the best views I have ever had. I had one of the most basic rooms but the room was not basic. It was much better in person.the bathroom looked a bit old fashioned )
Yes ; you must we willing to take the stairs. Therefore I would not recommend this hotel for old people or if you have any disability that does not allow you to walk properly. I do not know if they have elevators. At least I did not see them. I was there in May and the hotel was empty . The beach to myself .the lady in the diving shop was extremely lovely.

Not too big, situated well
A "Hoel & Spa", but the Spa is closed... under Construction, but the working men are merely laying around, listening to their loud music and fumbling their mobile phones. The Gym is small... Breakfast rather small but nice, but the Coffee is lousy and just undrinkable. Restaurant and Bar are nice but prices too high. Small wonder that guests enjoy drinks only when happy hour...

Hotel was nice, as were the facilities provided. Nice restaurant, great view, great room service and nice pool.
The amount of steps from the room to the reception and restaurant. Also, Taxis were not permitted to drop guests off at the bottom of the very steep hill. Concierge expected me to take a taxi into town to buy a lighter as opposed to source one from within the hotel somewhere, or matches!

Lovely lovely place to stay. With a few caveats. We had a lovely stay in a pool villa. It was a splurge on the last few days of a 9 week tour. The room Was huge and perfect for the end of a holiday. Our own pool and view and being brave we am were able to jump in the private pool at midnight naked. Lovely thing to do. The staff are very attentive and eager to please. Breakfasts were great once you realised there is a menu to order your eggs or pancakes from. The evening and lunchtime meals were delicious.
Location is great for snorkelling on or off the beach. The prime reason we chose this hotel. We saw turtles and sharks and all manner of fish.
Downsides were the location of the hotel with regard to the cost of taxis to and from the Town and bars. The hotel offer drop off service to the pier which is great for an evening stroll to the town 15-20 mins. The taxi back however will be circa 400baht (£10). It is an island but in my opinion the high cost of taxis will kill the resorts a little further from the action.
Fortunately I’d say you don’t have to head into town too often. I am assuming backpackers and 21 year olds are looking at this hotel as a base so…… stay in house and enjoy a wonderful hotel with lovely rooms and staff and fantastic tasting food and service.
We actually ordered a meal in the restaurant but as my wife was I’ll we asked for it to be delivered to the room. No problem at all for the staff. And delivery was quick too.

Too many stairs super exhausting to go from the room to the pool/restaurant/ reception
stuff wasn’t welcoming
Far from everything, bad location on a hill too dangerous to rent a motorbike
We left after one night

steps to the room need to be considered. but it was okay

Beautiful resort! Snorkelling stuff and kayak’s are included which is great if you want to go snorkelling to see some riff sharks. Staff is super friendly and the room was clean and spacious. There is a free shuttle service a few times a day to bring you back to the pier/hotel.
It’s located by a beautiful beach which is great but it’s quite far away from “centre” and not any restaurants around. The road to get to the hotel is quite tough for a scooter ride if you’re not used to it.

stunning location with room overlooking ocean , snorkeling directly in front of room from resort marina
many steps to climb to access restaurant and pool etc
private beach difficult to access due to very steep hill to return to resort

Everything, the views were breathtaking. So tranquil, you never need to leave the room. Stunning gardens, right in the cliff face.
Nothing- everything was incredible I wish I could have stayed longer!

The location is very good with excellent views of Shark bay. We saw sharks, turtles, sting rays and colourful fish in the water outside the hotel. You can swim from shark bay to this location so you do not need to stay in the hotel to experience this.
Overall this was not a 5 star experience. We stayed in a double bedroom room which we compared to a 3 star room (the villas looked a lot nicer).
We were very disappointed with this hotel; at the start of the stay it took us 45 minutes to find the hotel staff at the pier and then spent a further 45 minutes at the back of the truck waiting for the next boat of people to arrive. This meant that we did not arrive at the hotel until 4:30 although we arrived at the pier at 2:30.
Once we arrived at the hotel we were told our room was not ready (although I had contacted in advance that we would be arriving at 2:30) and had to wait an extra 30 minutes. We were then taken to our bedroom which was dirty because housekeeping was not finished. We were told to wait on the balcony whilst they finished cleaning (another 20 mins) and it was horrible to see the dirty stains on the bed as they cleaned. We booked a double bed room which was actually 2 single beds pushed together which was very uncomfortable. The room was dirty and looked very outdated (the view is the only good thing about the room).
Our bags then took a further 20 minutes from when house keeping was finished to arrive at our room so overall we were in the room for 40 minutes until we had our bags and could leave the room. There was no apology from the staff and we felt they handled the situation very poorly.
Another thing we found disappointing is that the pool and bar closes at 9pm so there is nothing to do after that unless you pay to get a taxi to town.
There was no information given to us about renting bikes or about the diving so we had to sort this out ourself.
The hotel adds a 10% service fee + 7% VAT to every transaction (including when buying 2 bottles of water) which made everything very expensive.

amazing place - super breakfast and service - room view is unforgettable!
a lot of stairs !

the most picturesque place. The view is outstanding .
staff are absolutely lovely too
my only suggestion would be for the hotel to offer scooter hire. as the hotel is a little out of the way it would make life so much easier to have scooters available for guests.
8.0
very friendly staff especially in restaurant, pool area is lovely and very cheap to rent snorkelling gear down by the private beach
far out, very hilly - would need motorbike or there’s a free shuttle 3 times a day. cocktails quite pricey as you would expect

Beautiful place, great location for snorkeling, big room with great view.
Good power pressure in the bathroom, nice stuff and very clean.
The stairs… a lot of stairs to walk around.
For this kind of hotel I would except usb plug-ins next to bed to charge phones, or just electric plugs-in.

The best thing about the resort is the dive centre, which is totally brilliant and has the loveliest wooden dive boat we have been on. A free shuttle to town three times a day is also very helpful. Good restaurant, good wifi, good aircon and comfortable rooms. If you look to diversify food to include fresh fish, a restaurant next door run by a fisherman’s family has good options.
A number of negatives. Instant coffee for breakfast (out an of instant coffee machine) is shocking (no filter coffee / ground coffee offered). Piles of rubbish on the beach create a feeling of a dump. Some rubbish was cleared during the stay. Reception was hit and miss throughout – agreed to book a morning taxi and forgot for example. Construction works in the beach area in January 2023 were well handled but occasionally noisy. Spa was closed in January 2023; massages in room are offered but not comfortable as proper massage tables have a head rest (beds do not).

Everything was fantastic from views, resort layout to breakfast and value for money!
the only thing which comes up to my mind is that they do not offer directly scooter rental from the hotel like others.

stunning views and location, beautiful layout of resort, nice spacious rooms, friendly staff, architectural delight, all one could ever ask for. Nicely decorated, great location between the granite rocks and palm- trees, great breakfast. good value for money!

View stunning and bay near by great, pool beautiful, great bed and good cocktails by excellant bar man who kept the pool area well. Mr Nice super helpful as well.
The additional charges - they said a drink was 280 THB at the pool and before you know it they had got it up to 350 THB - VAT, TAX, SERVICE, ROUNDING. Why not say drink is 350 THB in the first place? Building works so a bit noisy - it should have been put on the advert so we knew before we got there and settled in. We could have changed hotels but a hassle with a family. getting a little tired so instead of new building, touching up in the rooms.

excellent location just on the dreadful sharks bay - perfect snorkeling spot and clean crystal blue water.
Staff are very friendly and pool and restaurant excellent.
climbing stairs made us think twice when to leave the room. The diving center which charges double the price was unprofessional. The hotel is far from main pier- to be flexible you need to rent a motorcycle.

lovely property , great service and facilities , and the most amazing place to snorkel

The Resort is the best one we were in whole trip.
