A perfect location with beautiful interiors, clean and comfortable rooms and the friendliest staff in Stone Town! A friend recommended this boutique and the only thing we didn’t like was that we only got to stay one night! The team created a beautiful bed decoration for our honeymoon and even made a cake and sang for my husband’s birthday. I’ll be recommending the Sharazad to anyone I know who goes to Zanzibar.

Had the stone town feel which made it authentic. The dining area was very pretty and aesthetic.

What a gem. This boutique hotel is set in a beautiful old house, full of character, with decor and atmosphere that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a different era of Zanzibar.
Our room was spotless and smelled of lemongrass — such a nice touch. Towels fluffy and super clean.
Breakfast was à la carte, which was a lovely change from the usual — felt more personal and fresh each morning. One evening there was live music, which added a really special touch to the atmosphere.
A wonderful stay overall — highly recommend for anyone wanting charm, comfort, and a genuine sense of place in Stone Town.
The bed was a bit hard but I like sleeping in softer beds.
