There are actually three properties. The owners I assume we’re very accommodating and friendly.
The location was advertised as being within walking distance of many of the major sites and Mertola . However, the fact is you have to get in your car and drive down and cross over the bridge and park somewhere in town. Parking wasn’t in an issue.

What a lovely find! From the moment we arrived, we received such a warm and friendly welcome. The hotel is beautifully traditional, full of Portuguese charm and spotlessly clean.
The location was perfect for us. Although the hotel doesn’t have its own parking, this wasn’t a problem at all as we easily found somewhere to park close by.
My husband and I absolutely loved our stay here. It’s one of those places that has real character and makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive.
We would happily stay again and have definitely added it to our return list.

Located in an easy to reach very quiet area. Immaculately clean. The place is very well decorated and cozy. The bed was comfortable. The staff were delightful. The pool is nice, there are comfortable loungers and the view is pretty. The soap in the rooms smelt so good and is a Portuguese brand.
The doors to the rooms are paper thin. I understand that they are meant to contribute to the rustic vibe of the house (which they do very well) I’m not sure they would be very isolating of sound/noise. We were the only guests so there was no problem with noise at all but it’s worth mentioning. Also, the pool, while fabulous, is < 1 minute walk across the street, so it’s convenient but not the same property.

I loved the accommodation, the staff the comfort, the pool and the orange grove just outside my bedroom window. The owner ,Nelson, is very kind and accommodating as are the housekeepers, Maria and Nikola. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
