About this lodge
A BRAND NEW HOME for vacation rentals in Lake Placid. This modern luxurious mountain estate is awaiting your family and friends to have lots of fun in. The house is 6000 + sq. ft with 9 bedrooms, fully Air Conditioned!! This house is appointed with modern appliances, and even offers a private suite for those who want the option to be separate from the group. Arrowhead Lodge is themed with a Native American decor in tribute to the Native American Adirondack Indians (The Bark Eaters). The location of the house is terrific. It is walking distance from the village. Located right down the road is the entrance to the Lake Placid Center of Performing Arts, Desperados Restaurant (great margaritas) Stewarts gas station, for ice, beer, gas and anything else quick, and right across the street from a brand new mini complex, housing Simply Gourmet, and the NEW 'DACK SHACK that has live music and incredible food. A nice little stroll and you've got your own night planned. Both famous lakes.. Lake Placid and Mirror Lake are MINUTES away. Take your choice. Motorized or not. Both options are clearly good! The amenities at ArrowHead are a magnificent deck housing a large BBQ grill ,10 person Hot-tub and lots of outdoor furniture, an ADK Fire pit, and volleyball. while inside both master bedrooms boasts private porches. One is screened, the other is high up so no bugs roam..the oversized garage are has a brand new pingpong table, and pool table so the kids ( and kids at heart) can play while dinner is cooking. Lots of chairs for spectators! While right above the garage area, a private suite offers a mini fridge, microwave, coffeemaker and its own 43 inch flat screen TV. Back inside the main house, there are 2 -70 inch flat screen TV's-upstairs, and one downstairs incase the little kids want to watch something that the bigger kids don't. The kitchen has all brand new appliances.. large fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave, gas stove and oven, Panini press, Keurig, also a traditional coffee maker, fondue pot, waffle maker and outdoor serving pieces to make the BBQ dinner on the back porch a sure hit. The huge indoor dinning table holds 16 easily with a fully stocked dinning service for 16-20 people - so no worries there. There are 9 total bedrooms, 6 pillow top king beds, 1 pillow top queen bed, and a bunk room with 4 twin pillow tops, and a 9th bedroom with a queen pullout sofa. Therefore we hope your sleeping should be comfortable and roomy. We provide 600 thread count sheets, plush towels and extra pillows and blankets for you to curl up and read a book or watch a movie like you used to when you had more time. The bathrooms are all modern and CLEAN. We pride ourselves in taking great care of our home. We make this our priority so that you can be comfortable and have no worries. You are there to vacation! The host was wonderful and the home was beautiful and centrally located while still feeling in the mountains, though there are neighbors there are mature trees in between houses. It was perfect for our purpose and was open and gave every family group their own area to go to when needed. The hot tub was definitely nice in the unusually cooler weather for this time of year. We did have a large number of electronics between the adults phones plus laptop and the kids devices so we have a few issues getting kicked from the wifi since it holds 10 devices max connected at a time but it wasn't a huge issue more considering if you have a lot of devices since we weren't at the max sleep capacity. We did have cell service though so that was good in areas that can be spotty so it wasn't necessary to have all devices on wifi. The house was set up with everything we needed to cook and prep from the house, we just bought the food and even that was convenient with 2 major grocery chain stores within a short 5 minute max drive. One thing we did find out while checking in, but it wasn't a huge issue, was that the 9pm to 7am quiet hours are super strict there, we didn't have any issues with this as only adults were outside after this time frame and the noise from inside to outside is pretty minimal. Overall it was an excellent stay and would stay at the property again.

The house was beautiful and the hot tub was warm. Definitely could have been cleaned a bit more as we found some left behind items in very common areas. We were also asked to refrain from hanging decorations as this was not a party house but found tape already on the walls. Not, sure how any of this was missed if the house was thoroughly cleaned. Other than that we had a great time.

Very clean! Excellent home. So big and comfortable. No negatives about the home at all. Just a warning lake placid has an ordinance for 6 cars only in a driveway.

Overall the house is average and in need of TLC. There was a strong and persistent sewer odor on the lowest floor (basement). I reported this and was given instructions to flush the toilet several times, but this was not effective. I ended up getting an air freshener which made it tolerable. Many of the windows would not open or would not close. I reported this and received an explanation as to why, but that did not help the situation. Finally, there is a nearby dog (likely a large one) that would bark at all hours of the night and day. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you won't find it here. There were a few other minor issues, but they were either addressed or two minor to bother with.The good news is that it is a nice building with lots of space. It is located in a great neighbor convenient to the town. The kitchen is well-equipped. Contact with the owner was easy, and she was very responsive.
