About this house rental

Nestled in Valencia, this lovely house for $169 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. We rent an exceptional house, which is unparalleled in Valencia's beach and waterfront "Cabanyal". Here an article from February 2020 about Cabanyal: https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2020/feb/08/10-of-the-coolest-neighbourhoods-in-europe-paris-berlin-rome A small oasis in the heart of one of the most beautiful and interesting areas of Valencia, just a 10-minute walk to the large city beach. In the walls of a typical harbor house of the 20s, we have implemented with much time and attention to detail our personal dream of a holiday home and are now looking forward to being able to offer it to other lovers of the style "small but beautiful". The house was carefully renovated with much respect for the original structure and provided with the comfort of our time. Here you can relax for two on 60 square meters of living space and 55 square meters of green backyard and enjoy. In the winter months, underfloor heating ensures pleasant temperatures, in summer air conditioning cools the air to the desired temperature. Kitchen, dining, living room and bedroom are loft-like connected. The ceiling height of a maximum of 5.50 meters creates the impression of enormous spaciousness. The floor to ceiling windows are all open as double doors and let the light flood through the living room. Thanks to the internal shutters, the entire living space can also be completely darkened. The separate bathroom has a large rain shower which is barrier-free and offers a special spa experience. In addition to the usual bathroom equipment, there is also a bidet. Hairdryers and towels are available for use. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious food (perhaps with fresh ingredients from the nearby market), including an induction hob, dishwasher, fridge and separate freezer. The living room area is very cozy and the sofa, especially in winter, is the perfect place to let yourself be greeted by the almost always visible Valencian sun through the windows. Here you can spend evenings in front of the TV and the Movistar streaming offer (included in the price, including international films and TV series), or use the local television. The high-speed Internet connection also allows private streaming services (such as Netflix) in the best quality. Of course, the Internet is also available via Wi-Fi for the use of devices brought along such as mobile phone and computer. A special highlight of the house is the large, partially landscaped backyard, which is aligned to the south side. Handmade terracotta tiles surround intricately planted beds. Here you will find local and exotic plants, as well as culinary herbs and one or the other edible fruit. The plants provide a pleasantly fresh microclimate, which makes the hot summers in Valencia much more bearable. If you like, you can lay down here in the sun and then cool off under the outdoor shower. The courtyard also has an outdoor kitchen with beautiful, also hand-made tiled wall, marble basin and large worktop. The fireplace can either be used for a normal barbecue or to prepare a paella (original paella pans are available). On the back wall of the yard is a large cupboard, where washer and dryer are housed. Next to the cupboard hang our bikes, which can be used by all tenants unrestricted in the entire urban area and environment during the stay (an extra rent at one of the many bike rentals thus omitted). Since Valencia has a very well-developed network of cycle paths and the large city park Turia is best "experienced" by bike, we strongly recommend to use this offer! (We maintain the bikes regularly. Nevertheless, the use of course at your own risk). House and yard are at ground level and largely barrier-free, so that even older guests should get along very well. We have just completed the complete set up and equipment of house and yard. You will therefore find everything in a very new condition. For a stay of several weeks, there is the possibility, once a week, free of charge of a cleaning service by our helper on site (basic cleaning, change of bed linen etc). Please let us know when booking if you want to use this option! We look forward to you. Stayed for 3 week and found the property to be excellent. It met our needs for both the city and beach. I would highly recommend both Florian and Hanna as hosts and Victoria as the local contact. Nothing was too much trouble

Florians’ place is an absolute dream. There is nothing he hasn’t provided or thought of, it’s a home away from home. Victoria checked us in wonderfully, with lots of great tips for the area and help with navigating and both her and Florian were communicative and helpful the whole time. An absolute pleasure, we cannot speak highly enough of it and hope to return! Thank you so so much ❤️❤️🙏🏻

There are good reasons why this property gets rated 5 stars by many who visit here. We lived here for a month in March and it was fabulous. The property has been sympathetically refurbished by the owners - they’ve done a fantastic job. The bed is super comfy, the kitchen area has everything you will need to cook meals - even a rolling pin and pizza cutter which we used to make homemade pizzas, the shower and bathroom is a good size, the tv has loads of channels though we had brought our own firestick which worked perfectly, the outside area is so private with a barbecue area and seating, and best of all there are two bikes available for you to use (we did loads of cycling). Florian and Hannah are brilliant hosts, checking now and then to make sure everything was ok. We had fun exchanging texts in Spanish, German and English. Victoria met us at check-in and provided lots of advice on how to get around Valencia using public transport and places to visit and eat. There’s a book full of information in the house. Khadija came once a week to clean and refresh the linen and towels. We really enjoyed meeting and chatting in Spanish with Khadija. The property is in El Cabanyal which has a rich history itself - it is real Spain, not touristy at all. It’s only 10 mins walk to the beach, 13 mins walk to the local market where you can buy loads of fresh produce and a mere 100m to a fabulous bakers. There’s plenty options for public transport nearby. The buses in Valencia are brilliant and so cheap! (Buy a zuma10 card at the tabac). We were here in March so experienced the Fallas festival and the Semana Santa - lots of processions, fireworks, music and drums - so it was noisy at times when we were there but it didn’t bother us too much, all part and parcel of living in Valencia in March. So if you want to experience real Spain in a fabulous house, book La Casa Azul, you won’t regret it.

My wife and myself couldn’t have chosen a better base for our 5 days in Valencia. The house, in the area of Cabanyal, is ideally located on a quiet street, yet within short walking distance of the metro/tram, the beach, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. The house is a lovely mixture of modern and traditional, extremely well equipped and was spotlessly clean. We were so thankful for air conditioning which provided much needed respite from the searing heat, while the courtyard was a lovely spot to sit with a glass of wine as the sun went down. Florian was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. We are particularly grateful to him for booking taxis from and to the airport, and for making a restaurant reservation on our behalf. He reacted immediately when we contacted him about an issue with Wi-Fi, which was speedily fixed - he was so apologetic, but it was no big deal for us as these things happen! Victoria looks after the house for Florian and she greeted us when we first arrived. She took the time to tell us what we needed to know about the house, and then showed us on a map the locations of various places of interest, restaurants etc. Victoria was a mine of information, made some really helpful suggestions and is an absolute gem! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Valencia and look forward to visiting again. We will definitely stay in this lovely house when we return, and we have no hesitation in recommending it to others. Thank you Florian and Victoria for helping make our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. Pete & Chris

Dommage.

We have stayed in many houses over the years but this was by far the best equipped. The owners had thought of everything. We cannot thank them enough for our amazing time in Valencia...
