About this house rental

Nestled in Kamloops, this lovely house for $293 per night is a great option for your next trip. **10-15 min drive from Sun Peaks*** ** work from home amenities including super fast internet, desk and office set up** In the summer and fall, the lake is great for swimming, fishing, canoeing, paddle boarding and kayaking right from the private dock. There are walking trails right across the street, or a short walk to the Embleton Mt trailhead. In the winter you can enjoy skating, ice fishing, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. The house has a kitchen with BBQ, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, and utensils, and a comfortable living room with a great view of the lake. There is a bedroom with queen bed upstairs. Downstairs you will find 2 bedrooms, one with double bed, and "kids" room with a twin over double bunk bed, and a games room with sofa bed. If you can't quite get away from it all we have a full entertainment center, high speed WIFI and basic cable channels. There are also plenty of books, games, puzzles to enjoy. This space is ideal for up to 4 adults plus kids. ***Please note that the pet cleaning fee is required, this goes to our house cleaning team*** *The caretaker building is behind the house on the shared driveway - we are rarely there but can be reached via phone anytime!*

House and property were incredible. We brought our kayaks and we just loved the lake so much! Our hosts were very accommodating to us as we were misplaced after an unexpected property cancellation. We really appreciated their kindness to us. The house was so warm and so cozy, heated floors, comfy beds and couch. 10/10 would recommend and hope to return again.

Well what can I say...this was quite simply the finest family vacation we have ever been on! We are more in love with Heffley now than we were before because of Dean & Megan accommodating us. There never seems to be enough time to enjoy all that Heffley has to offer but we sure did jam in everything we possibly could. We spent a majority of our time on the dock...the kids and I must have done 500 laps tubing in the middle of the lake and we also had great success fishing at the other end of the lake. So many little perks as a boater and angler having power down to the dock to charge my battery for my electric motor as well as access the all of the floatables...it made for an epic adventure!

This cabin is showing some signs of heavy use, but that isn't a deal breaker if you don't that kind of thing. It *is* in a great location except for the fact that, in July 2023, there is a construction site 100ft from the bedroom windows. For our stay, crews were excavating from 7am to 3pm daily. They will likely be framing and building for the rest of the summer of 2023. So, be warned.

We are in love with lake life! We had the most amazing holiday with our four older children at this cottage. The cottage has everything you need. The views and lake are spectacular. It’s the first holiday place in a long time that we felt at peace and regenerated. We have made some incredible memories and hope to return soon. Truly an incredible spot!

We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend to everyone. The lake is perfect for a variety of activities and you’re so close to Sun Peaks. I can’t wait to return.

Overall we had enjoyed our stay and were comfortable here for our recent work trip. The location was awesome and would be even better in the summer season to enjoy beautiful Heffley Lake. The cleaners prior to our arrival could have done a better job however I was told that they were new cleaners so half expected it. The house was well stocked with all necessary items for our longer stay.

We had a wonderful family ski getaway over a long weekend in Dean & Megan's lakeside house and it was the best one we've had so far! Although it was a 10-15 min drive to Sun Peaks, it was worth it to be able to relax with the gorgeous lakeside view and be away from the hustle & bustle of being in the ski resort. And it was perfect for our family dog too! She enjoyed walks down to the lake a few times a day, which was a real treat for us all. The size of the house and bedrooms are perfect. There was also lots of privacy for our older kids with 2 bedrooms and a TV lounge on the lower level of the house. Being city folk, we love the cabin style decor and wood, and super comfy large sectional sofa. We also appreciated the Nespresso machine! Thanks Dean & Megan, for a most comfortable and enjoyable stay!

The house is on the lake and only 10-12mins from the parking lot at Sun Peaks. It was perfect for our family everyone had great sleeps. There was lots of room for relaxing and the hiking trail across the road were very nice in the snow.

We were absolutely blown away by the location of the house. The view of the lake is to die for. The house had everything that was needed. It has everything you need. The hosts are extremely responsive and very patient and attentive. We really appreciated it. Great stay.

This is a fabulous property. Well equipped with everything we needed for our stay, the house is in an amazing location on the lake. Sun Peaks is a short drive away. The house was clean with plenty of spare towels and bedding. The host is extremely responsive and a pleasure to deal with. The amazing fall weather was a bonus but this would be a great property at any time of year - we’ll definitely be back.

While the weather man did not cooperate for our stay….rain, overcast, cool, a peaceful setting was definitely enjoyed. Very comfortable cottage, great location. The cleaners were maybe a little lax ie: ovens smoked due to need of a cleaning. Very well stocked with essentials.

Property was great and the area was beautiful. Exterior was nice to hangout on and had many nice spots to sit and relax. Took the boat out for nice cruise and enjoyed the firepit in the evenings. Having only one bathroom made the morning and evening ritual a little congested and the lack of curtains made it so the downstairs bedrooms were woke up at the crack of dawn.

Stayed for a ski trip, a very clean house with everything that you can really feel at home, it has an extensive lake view and the owner was very friendly and nice.

Great location & the lake isn't busy. Our family loved our 2 weeks at this place just relaxing on the dock, swimming, going up to Sun Peaks and settling in at night in this clean and comfortable place! Dean was incredibly quick to reply to any question we had. Loved it!

What a great place to enjoy a little R and R away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet close enough for all amenities. The cabin is well stocked (lots of games and DVDs for rainy days) with a great outdoor fireplace. Lots of privacy on a beautiful lake.
