Built in 2012, this log home encompasses approximately 3,700 square feet of living space with four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. The great room calls to mind the grandeur of the old west, offering exposed crossbeams and log walls. There's an open kitchen with a stacked stone breakfast bar and an adjacent dining room table for memorable family meals. When you're looking to unwind, you'll have your choice of indoor and outdoor spaces to do so. Spend summer evenings on the expansive patios, where you'll find the hot tub, wood and gas firepits, and lovely views of the surrounding scenery. Back inside, the loft includes a Ping-Pong table, creating a fantastic setting for nightly tournaments. THINGS TO KNOW This home does not have air conditioning. The fireplace is not for guest use. This property is managed by Vacasa South Dakota LLC. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

My husband, children, and grandchildren stayed at the Ponderosa Lodge during July 2023. We had a wonderful time. The Ponderosa Lodge is a beautiful cabin located directly next to a highway, yet one would never know it because the cabin itself is nestled away privately. After spending busy days exploring the Hills, we enjoyed quiet evenings at the cabin where we utilized the available grill, hot tub and ping pong table. It was a lovely stay and we were sad to leave.

Location is great. The house is dark inside. Not a lot of silverware (like only 4 spoons). Cleanliness was horrible… old coffee in coffee maker… dirty water in hot tub… dirty grill with empty gas tank… cigarettes everywhere around the house… trash left from previous tenants…

A very lovely home. This home has many amenities but we had a few negatives too. Beautiful hot tub but rough uneven steps leading up to hot tub. No railing, hard to maneuver tor older person . Poor lighting in the house. Many switches didnt turn lights on. The toaster only had one side that worked and the ice maker was broken. We had a a laege cleaning fee tacked on to our bill and yet we had a envelope wsiting gor a tip.-which we did leave. No bathing soap in bathrooms. Not to be overly negative the house is pretty, clean and centerly located. . Very hard hard to find if you come after the sunset. It accommodated the 9 of us well O
