Good property and location, poor management. Vacasa sends huge amounts of emails and text messages. Make sure you read all of them, some information is not repeated later. In addition, some information is inaccurate or contradictory. Here are some tips from our stay in January 2024: *** Before you arrive ***: Email license plate number, with the home number (4051 Coyote Fork) in subject, line to [email protected] to register for parking. Parking: Email to register for parking. Ignore emails which mention finding parking passes in the condo, and also hand-written note in condo which mentions getting parking passes from a different property management company. As far as we could tell there are no physical parking passes and it's not possible to get parking passes by calling or texting anyone. Door: Use the 4-digit code from emails/texts. However this is _not_ a code for an electronic lock as suggested. There are two lock boxes on the door frame to the right of the door. Use the four digit code on the lower lock box, which contains keys. Wifi: There are two set of wifi instructions included in the rental info. Use the wifi information that includes "vacasa" in the network name. Ski trails: When there's good snow, you have a choice of ski-in/ski-out on Coyote Fork (right next to the condo), or Condo Run (far end of the parking lot). When there isn't enough snow to ski on those, still an easy hike over to Village Run from the far end of the parking lot.

Convenient location. There was a winter storm while we were there and the property area was very well taken care of (snow cleared, pathways salted).

Great rental in great location. Cozy and comfortable. Entrance to rental is quite a distance from parking lot and there are stairs so this could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues or during rainy / snowy weather or lots of luggage/snow gear. Our biggest issue was dealing with Vacasa and I will be wary renting through Vacasa again. They gave us incorrect key code and it’s very difficult to get ahold of someone on phone. We stood outside on a freezing cold winter night. The customer service number is automated and suggests using text to communicate. I started two different texts to get support. I sent multiple texts. I did not get a response until the following morning! Luckily after quite some time on hold, I was eventually able to get live person on the phone who was able to look up the correct key code so we could get inside and did not have to spend night elsewhere.

True ski in ski out. Can’t beat the location. The condo was really nice with a beautiful fireplace and views from the living room window. We had a great trip and will definitely be visiting next year.

The place was nice. However, it clearly stated that there would be parking passes waiting for us in the apartment. Instead, they left us with a phone number and address to obtain the parking passes. Not only was it a pretty far drive, the offices did not open on the weekend and closed by 5pm on Friday. Had we not gotten to the apartments prior to 5pm and been able to arrange for the parking passes to be picked up a different day, we could have been fined and/or towed.

Pretty view and serene surroundings. Bummer it did not have a patio to sit outside and enjoy it. Price was a little high for what it is. Cramped kitchen/living room. Easy walk downhill to the village but too far to walk back uphill which was fine since easy parking in summer. Walls were a little thin and could not get the TV to work. Seems like it would be inconvenient in the winter to get to/from village.

We loved this place. We appreciate a clean stay. It was very clean and well equipped. Nice modern rustic feel. Not cluttered. Lots of space. Loved the rec center. You are close to the village. A 20 minute drive to kings beach. We really enjoyed feeling right at home here. And thought it was a great price.

The management company (Vacasa) is subpar. We were required to contact them twice to get a working access code. The only coffee maker in the unit is a Keurig but no pods and no pods available in Northstar. Vacasa’s only response was sorry for the inconvenience. Unable to access Netflix but nothing was done. Very difficult access to the condo so do not rent if you have anything more than one light suitcase. Condo itself is nice
