Stunning location, beautifully renovated monastery, tranquil environment and the lake is great for cooling off on a hot summer day.
There was a bit of confusion when we tried to reserve a table at the property’s restaurant. The receptionist told us they cannot make the reservation for us. When we called the restaurant, there was an answering machine saying that reservations cannot be made. So we just showed up for dinner only to be told by a pretty unfriendly waiter that the tables are fully booked and we should have made a reservation beforehand. That was quite a letdown during an otherwise very nice stay.

Very nice location and building, the 1.000 years old cloister nicely rebuilt for comfort lodging and conference venues. Very close to Chiemsee and Chiemsee islands.
WiFi did not worked properly during the night (the only minor problem).

The room was great. Very clean. Nice view. Bed big enough.The breakfast was great. Had scrambled, hard boiled and poached eggs, lots of meats, breads, cereals, fruits, veggies, coffees among other items. Staff very helpful and friendly.
The room was kinda warm and the window didn't have a bug screen.

The shower door was leaking when I took a shower, therefore the whole bathroom floor was wet.
No air conditioning in the room. The room got very hot.
The mattress is very firm.
