Breakfast was good. Most of the staff was nice. The male staff helper was super nice.
Check in was ridiculous. I knew I'd have to wait. I was definitely early. But there was no where cool to sit to wait. It was about 95. They tried to sell me another room they had available. My room was actually ready early....but they would not let me check in early. It was really just ridiculous. The girl at the checkin couldn't speak one drop of English. I tried my best with Spanish but she had nothing in the English language to help.

It’s a beautiful old house in a great location, nearby downtown. Getting our breakfast was a bit slow but certainly worth the wait. It was super delicious.
For the price paid, the property needs some maintenance, especially in the common areas. The staff was very lovely and helpful but they should get a bit more training, particularly in telling the story behind the property or regarding the beautiful paintings/photos hanged in the halls and walls —they knew little about it when asked. Occasionally, we found some (not all) staff a bit inattentive, distracted with their mobile phones, which is a pity for they could engage more with the guests (this review is coming from someone who speaks Spanish fluently).

The best location. Such lovely staff! Aircon & pool were essential. Beautiful building. Same building houses the Colibri tour company which we had booked 4 full day tours with, which were brilliant. Excellent communication throughout. They even packed our breakfasts to go on the days that our tours left at 7am. Given a bottle of water each on arrival, which we could refill from the water cooler at reception.
Breakfast is very basic. Definitely felt like we desperately needed a small fridge in the room, but agree that the amenities were accurately described. On our last evening, some new arrivals were rather rowdy at the pool.

Very noisy. The bathroom size is super small.
Photos are better than the actual room. Breakfast is very simple nothing extra. Could be better, specially in Merida, you dont need much but definitely they could surprise you with a better light meal.
Very noisy, the window doesn't have sound proof so it's a nightmare.
