We have just returned from a fabulous stay at The St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island, and it really was a special experience.
Location and accommodation
The location is fantastic. Set on its own little island within The Pearl, the hotel enjoys lovely views across the marina and surrounding area. It feels like a peaceful little retreat, while still being within easy reach of everything going on around Porto Arabia.
We stayed in a one-bedroom suite, which was absolutely luxurious. Plenty of space for the three of us, beautiful amenities and, importantly, two balconies with lovely marina views. Our son had a sofa bed in the living area, which worked perfectly.
One of the real highlights was the butler service. We had WhatsApp groups to contact the team whenever we needed anything, which made everything incredibly easy. Fresh coffee was brought to our room every morning, and our clothes were collected and returned pressed. It was those little touches that made us feel genuinely looked after. A special mention to our senior butler, Khouloud, who was always cheerful, helpful and happy to go out of her way for us.
Restaurants and dining
We booked half board and were really pleased with the variety available.
Breakfast was at Nara every morning, with a fantastic selection of food, lovely quality and à la carte options for eggs. The staff were always attentive and welcoming. Special thanks to Shaminda, Ali, Koruna and Prabrij, who helped make our mornings such a lovely start to the day.
We also used our half-board allowance at Bay View, Zorba and Babel, for both lunch and dinner. All three were excellent, with great food, attentive service and plenty of variety, including themed evenings.
A particular mention to Magid and Souad at Zorba, who went above and beyond to make our son's evening special. They even arranged for him to have a go at the traditional Greek plate smashing, which he absolutely loved. It's those little experiences that make a family holiday memorable.
The service could be a little slow, particularly ordering of drinks and particularly ordering drinks around the pool. The prices of the drinks were also very over priced but we put that down to the strict laws around alcohol in Doha

They checked us in ahead of schedule! They even brought us coffee at 4 a.m. before our flight! The view and the room were fantastic. This is our second year staying at this hotel.
