Probably got one of the old rooms - They were refurbishing other rooms while we stayed. Small room, and you had to leave the bathroom to be able to turn around. Mass produced industrial breakfast. Good service.

Conveniently located near Tottenham Court Road tube station very poor room facilities tired looking room not the best in cleanliness but for one night stay was adequate

Great location, so I was happy to sacrifice on the quality. Rooms on 9th floor were incredibly hot & stuffy, I believe it is all under refurbishment so we were in one of the old rooms.

Very comfortable and clean. Bed had some stains. Took about 10-15 mins for the shower water to heat up. Great employees, let us store our lights before and after our stay.

The hotel is convenient to Oxford Street and Soho. BUT it is VERY dated. The room was old and not comfortable at all. You can hear the person upstairs using the bathroom. The pictures posted on Hotels.com are not accurate. The bar was nice.

St Giles is in a fantastic location for exploring London, visiting the tourist attractions, going to the theatres, going shopping etc. It’s reasonable price (compared to other hotels in London) also helps with the holiday budget. The staff are lovely and helpful and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The ongoing refurbishment has also updated/modernised some of their bedrooms so it was lovely that some of our party stayed in those. Their Hudson’s House bar has great music, drinks and a nice atmosphere. Cucina, their Italian restaurant, has lovely food and a wide selection of drinks. The 25% discount offered to guests is also very beneficial.

The lights and hot water were not working. They let us wait fora while instead of changing room immediately, house keeper came in, maintenance men came in etc, not relaxing at all for the first an hour. We couldn't wait them for sorting out and left for dinner. When we came back, finally they gave us a new room however, we left our things in the origi5 room and had to collect them from the completely dark room. They said the room is updated for this inconvenience. However, room size was a bit bigger, but that's all. Beds were uncomfortable, in the middle there was a big dent on the mattress. We were in the 6th floor, it was Thursday night but noise from street was awful, someone was singing until 1am with microphone. Ppl started rolls their suitcase before 6am, door banging noises...couldn't sleep at all. The shower cube was tiny and bit mouldy on the corners. I'm sorry to say this but this was what we experienced during our stay honestly.

The service was good, the room was spotless. However, the air conditioning was incredibly loud, so I had to switch it off, and then the room was too hot. The light from the corridor leaked into the room and I had to stuff a towel under the door to black it out.

Cold shower and blocked bathroom sink. Told the staff about it after the first night and were told it would cost £90 to change rooms. Later that evening a manager said he would discount this to £35. Maintenance apparently came to solve the problems but the second morning we had exactly the same problem - cold shower. I am not sure why we should have to pay an additional £35 to get a room with hot water! Promised an email to follow up but at time of this review I have not received any response.

First room was very cold and the drain smell from the bathroom was overwhelming. Reception staff very helpful and gave us another room which was better. Both rooms were very tired looking and not very comfortable. It was also impossible to get hot water so we both had cold showers. I appreciate St Giles is a budget hotel but I do expect hot water. Definitely will not go back. Despite these comments the reception and concierge staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room was not clean with un hoovered parts of the room , bogies on the wall and window .. asked for to be cleaned on the first morning but it didn’t get done. Two of the mornings we had no hot water to shower, just not acceptable.

The St Giles is in a great location to explore central London. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

Hotel was good and staff very friendly and attentive i only gave a less than excellent score as we were woken by workmen at 8 am working directly above us . We were aware of renovations but were told that work would not start before 9am. I have emailed the hotel to make them aware but have not had a reply as yet

Amazing location and was really central. Hotel staff were friendly and even let us check in earlier as our room was ready. It was perfect for what we needed - which was a central location and a place to sleep. The rooms were clean enough, but definitely could do with some TLC. There were a lot of marks everywhere and it made the room look tired. The rooms are very small - but it didn’t bother us that much! Construction work was going on during our stay but we didn’t hear a thing. The lifts were particularly slow going down to the ground floor… no idea why! I’ve stayed here before and I’d happily stay here again - purely for the location because it’s so ideal!

This hotel is perfectly located within walking distance of all of your needs. It’s also only two blocks from the Victoria train station which was really nice. The staff here are very friendly and very helpful.

My stay was good, very convenient for our evening venue, room comfortable and had all we needed . breakfast was a bit disappointing, bacon way overcooked tough to eat, no fried eggs out, had to ask. No marmalade at all !! Had to wait for coissants selections of bread most baskets empty

We stayed here as it was a short walk from the theatre we were visiting. The room was clean and well appointed. The shower head could have been better, but the water was hot and had good pressure. There was plenty of choice for the buffet breakfast and staff were quick to replenish items and clear tables.

The beds are really comfortable. Slept so good even with the nonstop sounds of the city just outside. Great neighborhood. Easy access to the Tube and bus lines. Also lots of restaurants & shops nearby.

Very basic, rooms are tiny. Blinds block the view of the city. Bed / mattress not comfortable at all Towels aren’t that big and you require two to properly dry yourself Room looks like it hasn’t been maintained in 30 years Carpet disgusting, wouldn’t walk on it bare foot. Shower tiny and bathroom overall cramped Hallways in need of modernising No irons available for your room, instead you goto an ironing room on floor 4 or 6 (I was 5, they didn’t have one on level 5) and iron it there. Iron is useless, so old and cheap. Location however is fantastic Bar down stairs £1 to leave your luggage for the day if you have a late flight Would I return to this hotel? Most likely not

Stay was excellent apart from road noise we were on second floor but that was our choice next time we stay we will ask for a higher floor didn’t use the bar as the music was too loud for us rooms clean & comfortable excellent breakfast definitely stay again
