Large older style hotel in a convenient location. Bright welcoming reception and bar and spacious dining area. Room was good; comfortable bed, tv and tea and coffee. Good shower but it was leaking from the shower control end out of the shower on to the bathroom floor and out of the bathroom and wetting the carpet in the bedroom by the bathroom door. Also it didn’t seem that the extractor fan in the bathroom was working well / at all. We reported both of these faults and hopefully they will be rectified. There was also a gym which seemed well equipped although we didn’t use it on this visit. Nice hotel, good staff and good location for a competitive price; we’ll be using it again.

Room was clean, building is old and staff not very helpful. There is no elevator and no-one offered to help move luggage up the stairs even with my elderly father standing right at the front desk. Glad we were only there for one night.
