Horrible hotel. Staff is rude and unorganized. They gave out multiple copies of keys to one room, causing guests to walk in on each other. Gave A smoking room When requested to have a non-. Refused to reimburse hotel after demanding check out no record of having me in the new room. They moved me too disgusting drug infested.

We had to change rooms 4x due to cleanliness. My partner has a video of them giving us keys to a room with dirty towels, a tossed bed, food and trash on the vanity and dresser.

Room temp was cold and could not get it to warm up even after setting the window unit to 90. Wall unit had a note to not touch the temp. Bathroom was dingy and moldy around the edges of the tub. No microwave in the room.

Staff was very good but the room was incredibly noisy (I thought the window was open) and smelly. Trains through the night. Exhaust from highway/trains came in through heating unit. Smell of cigarettes either embedded in the walls or from guests not following rules. The facility has had decor refreshed, but a there is still lots of grime that hasn’t been cleaned. We often stay at La Quinta properties and appreciate their dog friendly policy. This one fell short of our expectations.

Hotel is in a sketch area. Requires a $200 deposit which...sort of says its in a not so good area I guess cuz I have never had that before. I would say it was the lowest possible "ok" before being a NO for me. It was clean. Bed was comfortable. The heater goes on and off all night and isn't all that quiet. Worst was that there was no hot water in the shower. The sink had it...but not the shower. It was a one night stay driving home to San Jose, CA so whatever...it was fine. But NO I will not choose La Quinta again. It was my first and last.

We booked 1st floor because we have two small dogs. We got floor 7. Potty trips were fun. Took our pups for a shower, shower head broken. Unable to blow dry shivering fur babies as the hair dryer was also broken. Ready for sleep, door deadbolt was broken. Best part, LOUD freeway traffic noise. When wife brought these things to the attention of reception, was told nothing could be done as room was booked through a third party (Expedia). Poor way to run a pet-friendly hotel!

Stayed here twice 12-14 years ago so was instantly pleased to see the interior (lobby, halls, rooms looked new. I was both sad about and comforted by the security measures: fencing around the property, locked front door to non-key holders, warnings not to leave belongings in car overnight. . . . Front desk clerks, on two different shifts could not give even generalized directions to one of the city's top attractions, the Washington State Museum of History, only a 5 minute drive away. Two of the young afternoon clerks didn't even know of its existence. Room was spacious and comfortable but lacked a wastebasket in main room by the desk and the malfunctioning flush device on toilet should have been discovered before occupancy. (It was promptly fixed when reported.) Comp breakfast, was weak on fruit selection, otherwise fine. Location near attractions and waterfront path etc. are good.

The property made us sign an additional paper to agree to pay a $250 fee if a noise complaint was made or if a towel were to get stained, I asked if all guest had to sign these and they said no, they assumed we we're part of another group, room didn't have a microwave or fridge, guest could've been a bit more friendly and accommodating to our needs, our room lighting had broken bulbs and it had a weird wet smell, it was super cold, the windows need replacing, too much air flow from outside is seeping in and coming through the windows due to them being so old and outdated, I've stayed at many la Quintas and this buy fary worst experience ever at a la Quinta, will definitely reconsider booking at a la Quinta location again.

The staff at front desk was great and very friendly and accommodating. The bed was terrible, needs replaced badly it was terribly uncomfortable. The room was clean overall but the garbage had been left in the bathroom from last guest. This isn’t the hotels fault but the area of the hotel felt very unsafe. A bridge next to the hotel was over run with homeless and garbage everywhere. Police sirens constantly. First time staying in the Tacoma area and I did not feel safe.

The not so good: Floor was sticky by TV. Sink was plugged. Room was pictured with a couch, no couch. The good: Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, security watching cars was always around.

We were unprepared for the amount of homeless people immediately around the hotel. We appreciated the obvious attempts at security, but we did not feel safe leaving unless we were together. Our room was fine, and we appreciated the continental breakfast.
