I've been using La Quinta as my hotel choice since 2016, I feel overall it's a very reliable and affordable brand. We enjoyed our 2-night family stay here, check-in was fast, location is convenient (close to airport, a bit drive to downtown or viewpoints, but within 30-min drive), room was spacious and clean, breakfast was excellent with varieties of food and stocked up fast to meet full-house guests. The only complaint is that the shower knob is loose, needs a little fix.

The tone was set at check in. It's 2am and they give us our room keys. They tell us it's in "the other building" which means crossing a set of abandoned train tracks. We get to our room and I swipe the card and it opens but I can't grab the handle in time. I swipe again and again and I can't get it to work. Then a woman OPENS THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE! she let's is know this is her room and we apologize. I go to the front desk, explain, and get a new room. Success this time. Sleep ensues. Next day wife tries to use the gym... Every cardio machine is broken in some way. Breakfast was good, waffles, bacon eggs, usual stuff. I got to it by going through a door that said that it was locked 24_7 but was actually unlocked. Definitely wouldn't recommend

The pros: location for long term parking, cookie at check-in Some of the cons: one of the more frustrating check in experiences ever- painfully slow, got through signing all the forms, filling out all the info only to find that we had been handed the paperwork for someone else’s reservation—- and charged for it on our card. The charge was reversed but very annoying. This was all while I’ve got my 5 year old daughter waiting with me 4 hours past her bedtime on a travel day. Very little apology for the mixup (which we caught, not them). Room was fine- no frills of course but seemed clean.

My stay was Good except for the first room I was given. I was assigned to the back building & there was a traveling school w/ students staying in the same building. The teenage students were running in the hallway & all doors of the rooms were open, There was no Adult Chaperons to be found & it was pretty noisy. I went back to the Front Desk to Request a room in the Main Building because I knew I was not going to get a Peaceful Night's Sleep. I was abled to get assigned a different room & I Appreciated the 2nd Front Desk Rep.

Overall a good place to stay. Location was good, room was clean, breakfast was decent & the staff were nice enough. Value was good too. Our room was on the main floor and was quiet ... except starting at 5:30am every morning there were repeated door slamming/clicking sounds as people made their way to breakfast. Hard to sleep through that Only issue: I got double billed and have spent many hours, phone calls & emails to try to resolve this mistake. Going on day11 and the charges are still on my credit card. MasterCard assures me this mistake will be cleared up in another 3 days. I hesitate to stay at Laquinta again only because of this issue. When you double bill a customer, I expect an apology & quick resolution. VERY disappointing response

We did have some issues with the hot water in the room but the staff was very helpful and moved us to a new room. The breakfast was kept well stocked but the orange juice dispenser worked intermittently.

This place charged me $250 for a smoking fee when I did NOT smoke in the room. The lady at the front desk was also very rude to me. The hallways and elevator smelled like urine. And a maid also just opened our door randomly when I was getting dressed it wasn’t even time to check out that also didn’t even knock which was crazy to me.

Our stay was comfortable, we stood in a pet friendly room. No odor in the room just a stain in the carpet. This hotel had two buildings and we were in the furthest. It felt a little isolated. When it came to getting breakfast in the morning we had to drive to the other building for it.

The area around is old, industrial and really rundown. The north building should be avoided at all costs. It has no connection to the main building, is some distance away, and during our stay, had no Wi-Fi.

Woke up to a mouse in my bathtub. Told the front desk. They had absolutely nothing to say. No apology. No offer to come get it. And no offer to move to another room.

The only positive the property has is the nice girl working at the front desk. They are severely understaffed and she was the only one checking people in and answering the phones. I was put in the back building. I arrived late at night and I had to cross a RAILROAD TRACK in the dark to get to my room. The front desk girl asked me if I wanted an escort to them room; I was shocked that this was even offered. When I walked to the room I understood why. I said yes to the escort but it was taking so long for security to arrive that I just went on my own. The building I was put in was dirty, ran down and has no internet. My room had black hairs on the conditioner bottle, the shower, the towel and the floor. Absolutely disgusting. I don’t know if it was the housekeeper’s hair or if they just hadn’t cleaned the room. Stay away! It is not safe and it’s not clean. You shouldn’t have to cross railroad tracks and dark parking lots in the middle of nowhere to get from one building to the another. And no internet access in 2024?

Liked almost everything. Didn't like the guy sitting outside of our room smoking pot and the fumes coming through the ac system. Staff handled the situation appropriately however security should have been there and stepped up to handle the situation so that the female front desk staff wouldn't have needed to handle it.

Very sketchy insecure area around premises as surrounded by railroad tracks and abandoned warehouses. Did not feel car was safe to park. Breakfast cold and no milk for coffee. Bathroom had soap the size of a finger. Room was in a building separate from the main building. Ughh!!!

Clen and good location but the hotel has two separate buildings. I got the old ugly one and far from the main building with the lobby and the dining room from breakfast. You have to walk outside in between buildings.

Don't let the pictures fool you. You won't accommodate in this building. They will send you to the "North" building, which is very smelly and dirty. Won't stay here again.

The first room they booked me smelled like pee, they transferred me to a next room, the water in the shower was so boiling hot. So they had to transferred me again to a next room. The receptionist was so patient though and made it sure we will still have a comfortable stay despite of all the hassle and issues.

The woman at the counter when we checked in was less than impressed to be doing any sort of customer service job, let alone to be helping me check into our room. The only time she showed any enthusiasm was to tell me that we were staying in the 'North Building' OMG! You know the expression' 'On the wrong side of the tracks'? Well that is where the 'North Building' is. It is located in this dead zone with railroad tracks on either side of it. A homeless encampment under one bridge and a few engines that seemed to be constantly running on the other. Needless to say we didn't feel super safe and felt that we need to remove everything from our car and store it in our room. It is definitely on our never stay there again list!

The hotel and area around is good and safe, but the city of San Francisco is not safe, there are many thieves, they vandalized my car and stole several of my son's electronic devices. I arrived with my son very happy and left with him very sad since he lost everything they had brought him for Christmas. Be very careful when you visit the city. It is very beautiful, but instead of calling it the city of industries, they should call it the city of thieves, but the hotel is all excellent

No hotel contact phone # shared from the booked ticket. Waited more than one hr and didn't see hotel shuttle coming . Contacted travelocity that auto help doesn't say how long shuttle would come and only say by schedule. So actually take Uber to hotel. Told at hotel it would come every 45 mins. After checked in, hotel staff didn't mention my room was located in North building - another one. Took a while to find out and room was hard to be very opened. Also didn't explain why they would charge $50 for deposit on possible damages. It was also noisy before middle night. So was not good experience for this stay.

Rooms were pleasant and clean. Airport schuttle unavailable when we arrived. Person we talked to lied, kept saying it was coming, we waited at least 45 minutes in cold. We told by other employees there had been a problem with the driver, were given rebate to reemburse for taxi. Shuttle experience was terrible!

We stayed for 2 nights and we had rough time here, we dont recommend this property at all. The staff is very rude and we faced issue with door lock and they have given the room in back building and we have to ask them to come and visit for maintenance. Poor property maintenance and worst office staff, donot stay in this hotel

The key fob was not working so I have to go pick up new key at 1:30AM. AC was not working. I was offered a different room an hour after complaining by the time my kids slept.

The room was clean and comfortable but there were major issues with the airport shuttle. The shuttle reliability at this hotel is terrible. The shuttle did not arrive at the posted time and when we asked the front desk to call the shuttle driver to find out why and when he would be coming he lied and said he had already come. We were in the lobby waiting 15 minutes before the scheduled arrival time. He never came. He also hung up on the front desk people multiple times and didn't care that we were going to potentially miss our flight. The shuttle only comes every 45 minutes so when he didn't arrive we would have had to wait another 45 minutes for the next shuttle and would have missed our flight. Luckily one of the couples checking in offered to give us a ride to the airport. We had two little kids with us and the front desk people were smiling and laughing about our predicament and acting like there was nothing they could do and that it wasn't a big deal at all. Terrible customer service! Beware
