Terrific hotel in a terrific location. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The bathroom was small probably because it is an old building, built in 1926. I would have liked the bathroom to be bigger or remodeled. Overall I highly recommend this hotel.

Things we loved. Great location!! You can’t get much better than this locale. Clean rooms. Great pillows. Comfortable bed. Things we didn’t love. No pool. No coffee in room. Ac was a window unit. It worked well but just the noise and the curtain blocked the unit so you had to make sure it stayed up on top of the ac unit to feel it. The service was good. The lady that checked us in was cranky. The gentleman that gave us a late check out was great and friendly. The bar tender was very nice. So mixed bag for service.

Very accommodating. Early check-in and offered to keep our items behind the desk on check out so we could go and enjoy the day without having to tow our luggage. Room was small but perfect. Bathroom needed a shelf or something. With a pedestal sink there was not any room to put your toothbrush etc. overall great experience and we would go back for sure

I only stay here for ocean view and was not given that eventhou i paid more, the fron lady was very rude about it too. But i was so tired i didnt argued or did anything about it.

There is no security. Anyone can walk in to the hotel room area. My room was right by the entrance and it was scary. The fridge in the room was not working. The tv stopped working well, tried to reboot, didn’t help. The room is very very tiny. The reservation was non-refundable so I had to stay in the this hotel. The Staff was very nice.

They staff was amazing and helped my dad who has mobility issues. Beyond friendly. The property is next to a nice area but rooms faced building walls. There was some sort of delivery that went upstairs that took over a half hour and woke me at 630 after getting on very late and having to leave early. Restraint onsite but prices were pretty high except for a very small breakfast that could be made a whole breakfast if you paid 5 dollars more. The experience was frustrating but staff were amazing and it would have been fine if I wasn't woken up again and again

Likes: Steps from the beach, lots of great patios and restaurants and stores within 10 minute walk, great vibe being located right on Ocean Dr. Location is a 10. Desk staff was friendly. Dislikes: Hotel is old and dated. Paint peeling from walls, rooms are tiny (but clean), bathroom was tiny and damp. Our view was of a weathered concrete wall with windows staring directly at us from 10 feet away. Had to keep blinds closed. AC barely kept room cool. Overall the place was ok simply for the location. Would probably look for a different place next time.

An overall excellent expérience. Only missing a courtesy coffee maker, a chair. Warning : a resort fee is mandatory, and I do not feel like this is christal clear on hotel.com. Currently 10 dollars per person per day. Also note room cleaning is only every two days.

Mariana at the front desk was amazing! She was so kind and was able to accommodate us sooner since we arrived in Miami before check in. The hotel itself has an older charm to it, and very convenient with a 24 hr CVS just next door and restaurants at every turn. We also had a nice view from our room. I'd definitely stay here again.

The hotel is uppdated, so taken into account that its a historical hotel and there for the rooms are small, as well as the bathroom, elevator etc its as good as can be expected. If you like it big and modern -choose another hotel!

We booked the Oceanfront King Suite and it was perfect. The room was nice, along with the amazing view and the restaurant connected to the hotel serves great food. I believe it’s called Montana’s. The staff was really friendly too. The only thing was the Wi-Fi wasn’t the best, but who cares when you’re on vacation :)

HORRIBLE ROACH MOTEL!! Run .. My family and I checked in on my birthday 12/02/23 after a wonderful vacation on Carnival . I was thrilled to stay in Miami for 2 more days but that took the worst turn ever . Upon our Arrival the manager visiably appeared exhausted and overwhelmed so I tried breaking the ice with introducing myself and fam ik and letting her know that we were Thankful for her time since she had a ton of bookings to handle at once . We checked in and headed straight to dinner then to the beach , followed by a walk on the ocean drive strip , around midnight we settled in to our room on the first floor but couldn’t help but to notice the baking hallway ( temperature was hotter than the day time like super hot) I asked was this normal and was told that it will cook down after a while . This is when all hell broke lose , Roaches decided to crash the room from beneath the bed , bathroom and crawling on to our luggage , some near the shower area. I took pictures and video to show management and the front desk . I asked to be moved to there neighboring hotel but with zero luck, I asked to check out but was told the manager would have to refund us in the am . The front desk gentleman was a pleasure to work with he even tried phoning the manager about the situation but she could not be reached. I was awake the entire night fighting roaches and warm air . I spoke with the manager who stated to me “ To be honest we are infested, the whole Miami is . No refunds .

Nice little hotel. Across the street from the beach. I had one of the rooms with a view of the beach. It was very very nice. I was there from Tuesday till Saturday. Of course it was nice and quiet during the week but I on Friday the weekend crowd came in and it started to get a little bit loud. Nice place I hope to go back.

Only for sleep, if u need anything, I’m mean anything, staff will answer they don’t have. Plus the shower is very bad, water is like leaking out.

The colony is priced reasonably. It’s location is great! Walking distance to practically everything and located right on Ocean Drive. This was my second time staying with them and I would definitely stay again!

I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times, some rooms are definitely better than others and overall a bit dated but the front desk staff is very pleasant which is worth mentioning.

This location is perfect. Absolutely beautiful property. Staff was amazing. Hotel has lots of timely charm. The elevator is a marvelous piece of history. Definitely recommend a stay here. We will stay here again for sure. Did I mention the ties to Scarface movie?
