1. Open Table had the wrong menu for the Moofish Cafe. Food at the cafe was not great. Expect MUCH better food at a Crowne Plaza. It's really a glorified coffee shop. 2. There was a wedding and reception our second night. That's fine; it's part of the business of the hotel. However, the reception and LIVE BAND were directly above our room (we were on the 9th floor) and we were not warned in advance, neither when we checked in nor earlier in the day on Saturday. The consequence was ruined plans for the evening and lots of anger. All the staff needed to do was to tell us about it in advance on Friday or early on Saturday or (better) perhaps give us the option of a different room at check-in. Very POOR management and customer service by the hotel.

I appreciated that when we arrived early and didn't expect checkin, the valet told us to just check with front desk and they were accommodating. The live music was great bonus!

One bedroom suite with balcony and ocean view was remodeled, clean and spacious. King bed was very comfortable. Overall, it was a very nice suite. It was a little noisy due to the proximity of the beach and train tracks as you would expect.

On the 2nd floor on a Saturday night, I could hear loud music from down below as I was trying to go to sleep. Upper floors might be better. Otherwise it’s a nice place with pleasant staff.

The Room: The Room with the beach view was disappointing. The room was partial beach and the rest was apartments and a parking lot. Save your money because it was not worth paying extra. Parking: Cheaper to pay at the hotel. Self parking $10 per day (hotels.com $12 per day) and valet parking $18 per day. The parking structure is public parking next to a restaurant and few steps from the hotel. $2.00 per every hour with maximum $10 per day. Don’t leave anything in the car because there is no security.

I’m so happy I picked this hotel. It was a great location, close to both the beach and able to walk to downtown Ventura. Very clean hotel and everybody was so friendly and nice who worked there. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is a great spot in Ventura. It’s right off the 101 and has decent ocean views. Beds are comfortable the in room food options are quite tasty.

Great location and quality hotel. Room was clean, comfortable and appreciated the courtesy of staff. After a long day of travel I was still able to get a decent meal in my room for dinner (roughly same price as a door dash option). Only downside was the cost of parking on site. $18 to park overnight with an empty parking lot seemed overkill.

Haven’t been here for a few years, room updates are very nicely done. We were given an ocean view room even though we reserved a non ocean view. Location is great, a quarter mile from a happening downtown, beach is right in front of the place (see title) and the Ventura Promenade is a great walk. Things to be aware of: the 101 is very close and Amtrak goes in front of the hotel so bring earplugs if noise bothers you. Also parking is on you so plan on either $18/day for valet or $10 for self (self is very close and convenient).

Everyone from the valet staff, front desk , bar tenders and the housekeepers were VERY NICE AND FRIENDLY. I’ve never been to hotel with that staff that happy and nice . This hotel is a 5 star. The hotel sits right next to the beach with an amazing view . The food was fantastic at the moo cafe . The price was fantastic for everything included . I can’t wait to go again.

The hotel was clean, the room was nice and modern with a very nice view of the beach. The only problem was that our room wasn’t ready and we waited almost an hour, but the person at the front desk gave us coupons for a couple of drinks so we were able to relax in the lobby with drinks until our room was clean. Other than that it was a nice hotel with a great views. We will definitely stay there again in the future.

They charge $18 for parking but don't tell you upfront. Dated hotel with freeway and train deefening noises. Shower is temperamental and switched from cold to hot and back every 5 seconds.

The beach front location near a walking, biking trail and only 2 blocks from a thriving downtown can't be beat. The hotel has two restaurants,a bar and live music to boot. Reminds of the good ol days when businesses cared about their customers and wanted to provide a real service. The staff are professional and competent and do all the work to make your stay seemless. I have been here many times. This stay was the best and the hotel's efforts at improving an already good product are noted and appreciated. Live music in your hotel was a great move. Kudos to the manager who brought in Colette Lovejoy and Jerry Breiner to entertain.

Beautiful walking path along the beach, popular with surfers with high waves. The sound of crashing waves can be heard in the room. 10 min walk to downtown Ventura. Hotel parking is a public parking (the area is popular for walking and watching surfers) but has plenty of parking spots. Hotel restaurant has good food, there is a separate bar with nice patio seating around fire. You don't have to purchase anything from the bar to enjoy the fire in the patio.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Crowne Plaza. Thecroom was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The price was great! Hopefully the rates stay just as reasonable during the summertime so we can come back.
