Hotel Universo was an excellent choice for us arriving from Fiumicino Airport in the afternoon, waiting to catch our morning train to Sicily the next day. It is an easy and short walk to and from Roma Termini. The staff were professional and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable and their fabulous rooftop bar was a wonderful place to grab a thirst quenching cocktail after a long international flight.

I was pleasantly surprised by this property. The rooms were very clean, the beds comfortable and they provided toiletries and other basics that seem to be gone from similar hotels. The area around the hotel is very walkable and there are plenty of dining options within a couple of blocks. The hotel is close to Termini and the surrounding area was no different than that in other large cities. The staff was very helpful. There was a rooftop bar that we visited daily. Drinks were good and the servers friendly. The only minor negative was the size of the room. It wasn’t small, would’ve just preferred something slightly roomier for our oversized luggage.

The location of the hotel is great for attractions and for transportation options. The hotel is safe and lots of food options surrounded the area. The gym is practical for its size. The rooms were very comfortable and breakfast was a great variety to get you started for a busy day.
