Hands down, the best budget friendly stay in Pasadena. My room was suite style, and exactly as pictured. Very spacious room, king bed, loveseat with ottomans, desk and rolling desk chair, dresser, plank flooring, XL mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker etc. Everything was SUPER clean and in good condition. Free parking and free solid, consistent wifi, and the staff is friendly and helpful. There's a small pool (which I didn't use) and a coin washer and dryer (which I did use). The location is convenient, and the premises are quiet. This is an excellent property-lotta bang for the buck!

Wifi terrible. Bathroom terrible. Only gave 1 half of the toilet paper. The birds were chirping all night couldnt sleep. TV has nothing on it.

This hotel exceeded my expectations so I extended my stay and was there for a month while relocating to Pasadena. Sam and the other gentleman that works there are very kind and helpful. When I checked out I had a total of 5 keys from locking myself out of my room and each time Sam would be there to give me another key and always very nice to me being apologetic. I really enjoyed my time at this hotel and would definitely recommend!

Was greeted by friendly staff. The room was as shown as on the picture. All Furnitures are relatively new. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. Not everything are updated. The bathroom is clean and had new panel wall. But, the faucet was not updated. The hair dryer was stuck on the ON position. You can only turn it off by pulling the plug. Overall, I will definitely return to this hotel.

Came her for the Rose Parade. This is a very basic, modest motel. I am an adult woman traveling with my friend who is also an adult woman. We feel safe. The motel is simple, with a small pool and hot tub. It is a few blocks from the parade route. It totally fits our needs.

They seem short staffed. For example, nmy chargers were left behind and I have had repeated calls to locate them, talked with 3 people, but with no call backs after saying they'd look for them.

Hyland Inn perfectly met our needs for a last minute place to sleep after an impromptu road trip to spend Christmas Day with my wife's family in San Marino. It is not luxurious like other hotels closer to Old Town Pasadena, but it is perfect if your priorities consist of: 1. Excellent customer service at check-in with their Front Desk, 2. FREE, safe parking lot on a relatively quiet, tree-lined street, 3. Extremely clean, no frills room (minimal towels, no tissue box, not a problem at this price point in this location), and finally... ...a peaceful evening of sleep (did I mention quiet, even though you're two blocks from the freeway) And bonus was the view of the San Gabriel Mountains from the 3rd floor this morning as we were walking to an excellent coffee shop called Rosebud. Would definitely stay again next time we're in Pasadena.

It's clean but provides just the basics. Noisy fridge, no clock. The pool and hot tube are both tiny. TV channel selection is good if you can figure out the channel system and remote. Drawers but no closet.

The rooms have cheap furniture. Floors were dirty snd made your socks or feet dirty. They had guests that were screaming at each other. At checkin you were asked about 10 questions that made you feel like they were expecting you to steal stuff and bring in outside people. Pool was extremely small and dirty. Pictures on their website make the place look much better than it is. I would never stay here again.

Property was going thru an upgrade which might explain why there were no hangers in the room, just a bar to hang your clothes on, but YOU bring your own hangers. Nice above counter sink, but no place to hang your hand towels. Shower tub combo, but just a shower head, no faucet in tub. No kleenex in room, just use your hand or tp. Workers staying @ hotel, so they start working loudly @ 8:00 A.M. Room was clean & comfortable & quiet @ night, but no HBO.

The room was clean and recently rehabbed. Parking was available onsite but limited. Check in was efficient and the clerk was friendly and helpful about where to dine. AC worked well, plenty of lighting. A few areas need improvement, but mostly were minor inconveniences: No closet, just an unusual hanging hook rack. No hand towels or wash clothes, but we were provided with additional bath towels. No breakfast, but not a deal-breaker for us - plenty of local options within walking distance. We would stay here again.

We stayed here for 3 nights. It has the bare minimum in amenities, but clean and the bed was comfortable. Front desk gentleman was very friendly and helpful. They could upgrade towels and sheets, and that would add value.

I booked this hotel with friends and family who were visiting me from out of town. The location is excellent, the rooms have just been renovated, they have great customer service, and the price is excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

This property was clean and spacious, the walls are paper thin and you can hear the people next door talking and the people above walking (we were on the ground floor) any noise outside was clearly heard so at a certain time in the morning you will be woken up. The facilities were great, the beds were not the most comfortable, you sink into the mattress and the pillows were flat but when I requested another pillow the lovely Spanish lady was very friendly and helpful and delivered straight to my room. The room was equipped with a fridge, microwave and coffee machine which was all brilliant. There wasn't an iron in the room but I called reception and one was delivered straight away. The location was great and the lovely staff really made up for the noise of the room. It's a shame it was noisy and the beds were more comfortable or I would have given it a perfect rating.
