Beachfront. Plenty of parking. Rooms were nice. Like the indoor outdoor pool option.

Shouldn’t have to pay to park . We pay enough for the room and parking should be part of the hotel anyway .

Since I booked with Expedia I wasn’t able to choose a room before arrival, and I was given the worse room in the property, it smelled like mildew, with a view to the street. I went to the front desk and I was left waiting for a manager that never came for about an hour, I was moved to another later on, but that doesn’t erase my disappointment and feeling disrespected. We live on a tight budget and this was our only summer vacation so we made the best of it

This was such an awesome vacation! Easy check in , easy check out, very accomodating staff, beautiful view of ocean, great pool too! Just overall a great experience, will be back next year!

Overall great stay. One of the hot tub‘s was lacking and we had difficulty with our room key, but would stay again

Great location. Sadly, not enough help after the season ends to keep certain outdoor areas open.

Rather a perfect mix of a mid cape motel with all of the amenities you could ask for. Indoor/outdoor and ocean all within a few steps. Beach chairs and bar at the surf. Use of two facilities and the best of Yarmouth and Nantucket sound. Spotless. I'll be back.

Beach is beautiful. Did not like safe was locked when we got there and they promised to address and did not. Bathroom was very old.

The room was a little dated, but was clean and just right for our needs. We were there after labor day, so a lot of bars and restaurants were closed for the season, but that was still fine. The beach was nicely maintained and pool was nice as well. We would go back again!

The rooms definitely need renovations and are scheduled to undergo them this winter. I think a discount of some sort should have been provided due to the conditions of the rooms as they are now. The shower curtain had blood on it

Worn out, dirty, and no parking.

Our “beachfront” rooms were supposed to be on the beach. We were on the 2nd floor. They told me “did you request 1st floor?” How was I supposed to know I had to “request”? I asked to upgrade to 1st floor and was told they were sold out. Called to speak to a manager…they put me on hold and then hung up. Also I spent alot of $$$…3 rooms for family…and our rooms were in different buildings…despite multiple calls to hotel weeks before visit. Parking fee of $25/day per car if you booked through a 3rd party. Total BS. One of the rooms didn’t have a remote for tv. We called 3 times and they never brought one. When we arrived…only 2/3 rooms ready. They stated they would bring key for 3rd room. Never did. Had to go back to front desk check in…which is at neighboring resort…to pick up keys. Would not recommend to others…nor stay here again.

Great location right on the beach. Older building however that could use some tlc. Room was large and typical but bathroom had mildew, i had to fix the toilet when i arrived, i called front desk twice about an open window you need a tool to close and asked the cleaning service and nobody helped my entire stay so we had flies in the room....nothing was ever restocked so we had to get our own towels and coffee every day. Basically had zero staff assistance. We stayed at the Red Jacket the previous year and staff and cleanliness, grounds were much better.

This is a motel that has a pool and is by the beach. The facilities are moderately maintained - though the washroom is very old and has mildew and is generally not nice. The rooms are damp, salty smelling (by the sea!) and the A/C is very loud - my family and I could not sleep in our room and so checked out early. The motel was kind enough to refund us a 1 night stay with minimal hassle. The food/beverage offering is limited and there are no nearby restaurants with the exception of 2 chowder/seafood places that are 20 min walk or 5 min drive. It is a solid 3 star motel by the sea which is need of maintenance (broken beach chairs, no swings on the beach playground as shown in photos). Kids peeing in pools without parents or staff correcting this behavior (gross!). NOT a resort.

It was beach front perfect, they supplied beach chairs and umbrellas. The front patio needed a little land scaping and mantience. Would go again enjoyed the trip.

Drove 5 hours to vacation just to hear my room wasn’t ready at the check in time. Was charged for parking which isn’t stated anywhere until you get there. Was told at the front desk that someone would call me in 15-20 mins to let me know the room was ready. Got no call, come back 40 mins later and ask if the room was ready. Got handed a bent key and was sent on my way. Got to the room and they were still vacuuming. Inside the room all of the outlets were loose and would not hold a plug. The bathroom door handle was broken and room had a musty smell that never went away. AC only works on one level. This place was a scam in my opinion

Room smelled musty. Shower curtain liner was dirty, was removed promptly by hotel staff but never replaced despite calling desk and notifying housekeeper several times. Hard to come by towels for the beach. Never had enough popsicles for all the kids in the afternoons leaving some in tears.

We loved the location, the beach and pools were fun. The rooms really need an update though - outdated and damp, difficult opening and closing the slider doors. Not nearly enough outlets for devices and phones. We really do like the resort, but for the price it really needs some refreshing.

Our first time in this hotel, the hotel was cool, I just found it too expensive for what they offer and also the breakfast that is paid is horrible and tastes spoiled I told the attendant she didn't care .

For $460 a night + fees of all kinds+ $25/day parking, this place is run down. I don’t know if other “suites” have been updated but we booked a Double bed room with ocean/pool view- our room had neither. Our only view was the next building over. The room itself was outdated, musty, and an overall disappointment the second we entered. Wallpaper pealing off the walls, bathroom had no vent so after a shower the steam and moisture got into the entire room, grout missing in the bathroom, dirty grout, phone didn’t work, slider needed to be fixed, the beds were so uncomfortable- pillows felt like they had marbles in them. Fitted sheets didn’t fit; exposing the cover of the mattress which had stains on it. For a “Resort” there was nothing Resort about it. The indoor pool/hot tub, was packed like sardines with people included young children. Not monitored by staff- there were young adults swimming with what clearly showed skin diseases or some type of issues, covered in bandaids. Legit feared of contracting a disease swimming with some of these people. Needless to say we only went to the pool once. The beach was the highlight of why we booked at the Riviera, and they didn’t bother to clean it. Guest that left trash or it blew around everywhere. Didn’t bother to try the restaurant — the activities for kids are not advertised well as to when and where. Oh and the Continental breakfast you had to pay for, $4 for a sm cup of coffee. Place is not worth a penny we spent and left early.

Trust the negative reviews. This is NOT a resort. This is an overpriced motel! Room was dirty & smelled like mold, garbage on the beach, rusty, broken swingset, no amenities, no food, drinks or coffee available at Riviera. “Complimentary” bikes didn’t unlock, loud and moldy AC, flies everywhere. No kids club on site, no front desk, have to pay for parking and resort fee, for what? Shameful!

The moment we stepped into the hotel room, there was a profound smell of mold/mildew that permeated the entire room. Turning on the air conditioning made it worse. The windows were hard to open to let fresh air in and the screen to the window was broken allowing bugs into the room. Toilet handle needed to be held down in order for the toilet to flush properly. My children all left with coughs likely due to the mold smell. When mentioned to front desk they did nothing to compensate us or even remotely do anything to help make our stay any nicer. Overall very disappointing and will be looking for another hotel for our yearly family vacation on the cape.

Location is great other then that nothing to look forward to. Run down dirty need major upgrades.

TERRIBLE. DO NOT STAY. The bathroom on a second floor room was COMPLETELY slanted and caving in. Addresses the problem with the management and nobody even came to look, didn't get a refund has to waste $450 and stay somewhere else. The splash area didn't have any water working. The swings on the beach were BOTH broken, one was non existent. Very unhappy, only nice part was the beach.

Our first time staying at the Riviera. The hotel room was very clean. My daughter and her friends loved the 4 pools to choose from. The beach access was unbeatable and the sand was perfect. The staff was very helpful and check in and out was a breeze. We will definitely be back.

For the price the room was gross. So old and out dated, bugs flying around, found old toe nails under the bed. Definitely needs to be updated. However you cant beat the location!

Stayed here multiple times and am now very disappointed. It's a major inconvenience to go 2 hotels down to check in instead of at this resort. Impossible to reach a front desk if you need anything in your room. Hardly any staff. Everyone seems to be at Blue Water and not Riviera yet Riveria is more expensive to stay at. Garbage was knocked over throughout the resort and we watched several staff just walk by it. Faucets in shower and sink are so old that they are hard to work. Considering the high summer rates to stay here, time to upkeep it better. Can't say we would be back. You're just paying for the convenience on the beach.
