There are two nice things I can say about this place: staff were very pleasant to transact with, and our room was nice and quiet despite the central location (which also was a plus for us, and actually the reason we chose this place for our one-night stay - we wanted to be in midtown and this was closest). Cleanliness was ok, given what they have to work with - the place is kind of a dump, WAY overdue for renovation; it may have been non-smoking for decades but still had the stale reek of cigarette smoke past, and yes, that was black mold on the bathroom wall/ceiling. Liquid also pooled on the antiquated A/C unit (which we weren’t using in winter), and steadily leaking on the walkway out in front of the room. We had other overnights in other towns during this trip, at slightly lower prices and with a much lower level of skeeziness. Again, the people working there were super nice but it felt like the kind of place they show criminals on the lam hiding out, in movies. Ick. Central Sacramento needs some non-luxury but *decent* places to stay overnight (because who wants to be stuck in the burbs?).

Good place and location-close to many restaurants that you can walk to. Parking is snug but very good lighting. Don’t try to find the address with google maps, it was way off. Skip the room coffee and the free breakfast if you want a good breakfast. Room was good. There is a good coffee shop around the corner.

Our stay was for personal medical appointments at Sutter. The desk people were friendly and helpful directing us to eating places in the area. The only changes I would suggest would be longer black out curtains in the window.

Place is ol and not too well maintenained. Service was poor and the breakfast was horribly bad. But the room was relatively clean.

I chose the hotel based on being able to park a 9' tall van and that worked out well. It is also reasonably walkable. The room surfaces seemed clean, but the carpet was disgusting. I did not ever walk barefoot in the room.

All around the building was well taken care of, and the Office Personnel was Wonderful, very helpful and friendly. A lot of homeless people, but all seemed friendly enough we weren’t really scared.

Eva was very helpful and kind. The location lends itself to noise, but is extremely convenient for Golden 1 center events with parking. I appreciated the exterior locks to the property.

I tried to save a little money. If you can afford another $30 or $40 a night highly suggest going to another hotel nearby. I didn't expect luxury, but nor did I expect a room that smelled like mold and mildew.

Great location for attending events at the UC Davis Health Pavilion (we went to see a musical theater production), and there's a good restaurant practically attached to the building, but it really is just a basic, aging motel. Service was practically non-existent (and my companion left a pillow that they were not willing to ship back to her), breakfast offerings were sparse, and the drywall in the bathroom was cracking. The room was clean, however, and the security (gates requiring key card entrance) was somewhat comforting considering the area. Parking was available but tight. Recommended for practicality, but not for a fun "vacation" stay.

The price and location were the best parts of this place! The perfect midtown location for my trip, I’m not an avid walker but everything I needed was within walking distance. Other reviews mention that the rooms are small, but as I was traveling alone this wasn’t an issue. The place hasn’t been updated in a while but the rooms are clean and they have everything you’d need. Check in/out was super fast. The pool, unfortunately was closed due to a failed inspection so we were unable to use it during our stay. I will be staying here again for my next trip.

Our room was basic and the bed comfortable. The bed linens were clean but shabby with holes in the edges of the coverlets. We were provided with two very thin bath towels, one was worn bare in the middle. We asked for 4 towels and the two we had were replaced with two more. The advertised pool was closed and locked for safety reasons, since 2 months prior. Breakfast was waffles, Cheerios or Raisin Bran cereal, or yoghurt. No toast. Out of fruit. Parking was difficult but included in an area where parking is very scarce and pricey, so appreciated.

It was an unusually hot day in an already hot place. The a/c did not work well. The room didn't cool down sufficiently no matter what temperature setting we used. The breakfast is very limited and the pool was closed.

Good cost for the convenient location. My complaints are minor and didn't majorly interfere with the comfort of my stay. AC/heat/fan noise needs attention. Breakfast was minimal but clean and sufficient except for the OJ being out.

Tiny rooms air conditioning barley worked. Noisy. Parking was tight. They say free buffet breakfast, but they only serve waffles and yogurt. Disappointing. And in the bag for dirty laundry had someone's dirty underwear. I wish i could get a refund. Did not sleep at all. Not worth the amount I paid.

I recently stayed here for a convention at the Safe Union Convention Center. It was a very convenient location and it is close to the front entrance on the convention center. It was clean and had plenty of towels. The air conditioning worked well and the parking lot was easy to get in to and free of garbage. The room itself was not terrific. You could tell the paint in the room had been touched up many times, and the bathroom door had to be kicked closed. You could see light through the front door when it was closed. However, there was a locked key entry gate securing the elevator and we never felt unsafe. It was quiet at night and the price was right. Staff was polite. The distance to the convention center definitely was a huge plus. If you are looking for a place to just sleep with no frills, this was decent.

This hotel is similar to a motel6 standard but charging over $250 per night is just not worth. In my opinion it should not be more than $120 per night the most base on the set up and quality. Breakfast have not much selection at all, only waffle, apple, banana, drink only have coffee and tea and OJ. Not really a continental breakfast at all. If you want a full breakfast with egg, bacon and sausage. Then look somewhere else.

First sent to a room that was obviously under maintenance or remodel, night clerk had no idea. Room was clean. Room was relatively quiet with air conditioner on. Room was fine. Breakfast (free) was a joke. Fruit gone in the first hour, toaster made me believe there once must have been bread, but no sign for two days. Cereal there in first hour, gone in 3rd hour. No meat, no eggs, no muffins/donuts/bagels, nothing to eat but self made waffles. I had yogurt for each day and luckily had breakfast available at conference one day. With your advertising for free breakfast, I could not get a real breakfast and be reimbursed because I was already noted as having a free one.

Arrived at 11 pm, front desk manager couldn’t be bothered to check me in. Took me 15 minutes for her to simply give me a key. Very unfriendly and got to the point I was about to get a different hotel because she was taking so long. Not even exaggerating. Usually it’s a 2 minute process. She was watching tv while doing it
