Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots of parking available with restaurants in the same parking lot. Room was clean. Quiet location.

My stay there was comfortable. I was extremely disappointed with the so called breakfast. Everything was frozen and needed heating, including the waffles. There was no juice. It was terrible.

I liked the vibe. Very nice staff. Would stay here again.

Stay was fine. In room amenities could use an improvement. Nearby Mels restaurant was great.

This hotel was very clean. The employees were very nice. The room was a little out dated. The sound and picture on TV was not in sync. The refrigerator was loud. The employees were unable to remember to give me a wake up call both days of my stay. No free breakfast.

The staff was nice. Room was clean but in bad need of updating. The area was in a convenient location, but there were many homeless nearby.

It’s a shabby motel with lots of noise

Good value. The breakfast "buffet" is a bit sad. It feels dated but reasonably clean. Staff are very helpful. Will probably return as good "suite" hotels are not that common.

Thread bare sheets and towels. A refrigerator too loud wakes you up at night. Bulk soap dispensers empty. Staff indifferent to requests. And breakfast food is so bad it just makes no sense.

Sadly this place had homeless people all around and some of them would yell at each other anytime of day. The hotel itself looks nice and is relatively clean however don't expect much from the staff. We received different information from different staff depending on how much help they were willing to provide. Most of the time they sat on their phones at the front desk. Housekeeping was very helpful and pleasant to interact with. If you need something, just go straight to them. Lastly, the refrigerator in our room made a loud noise every so often which was annoying. There are a lot of good restaurants and stores all through the area which was nice. Not sure if that makes up for the service and homeless problem.

The location was suitable for what we needed. I was a little disappointed with the inside of the hotel. It didnt seem like it was properly maintained.

Is it possible to give this place MORE than 5 stars? This was an unexpected gem that I stumbled across when my usual place was unavailable. The staff…top notch…the room was spacious and clean…the area was safe and don’t get me started on the free laundry (must bring your own soap) and the free breakfast was to die for. I think my usual place just lost me as a regular, as I travel monthly for work. Larkspur Landing is my new second home!! Very reasonably priced for what they have to offer.

The trip was good! Check-in was quick and easy. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating, along with the housekeeping crew. Our room was cozy and comfortable. We were able to log into Netflix on the television which was cool. A very nice place for an out of town staycation. My husband and I wanted to get away but go somewhere that we can just stay in the entire time and enjoy each other. This was a great spot for that!
The only thing this property should do is renovate. The cabinets in the kitchen area and the bathroom looked dated and the shower/bathtub combo creaked wig every move you made while showering which was odd.
I would stay here again though. Good property with great food options nearby including two grocery stores and a cvs.

When checking in was given a room. Went to room, was not cleaned! Housekeeping never cleaned. Was given second room. Hair ball near garbage, hair on shower curtain, hair on bathroom floor. Have pictures! Told lady when checking out. Was told she would talk to her supervisor. We have stayed here several times. This was the worst

The room smelled terrible. Said it was just carpet cleaned. Pictures looked nice on website. This is not as nice as the pics. Would not stay again.

First got to the room and immediately noticed there was a smell ( I don’t know what it was ) but it wasn’t pleasant. The refrigerator didn’t work either. Went to the front desk to have it fixed but they didn’t have anyone onsite so was moved to another room. Then the sheets had another persons hair. Instead of hauling my family around I just cleaned it with a roller and sprain Lysol since it was only for one night.

Room was clean but on the outdated side. Bathroom sink had stains. Could use a fresher upper. Overall, my stay was nice.

We stayed at this Larkspur Landing location as a family of 4 for 1 night during the CIM marathon weekend.
Initially, we had confirmed a booking through Hotels.com for 2 rooms - upon arrival, the hotel only had one room available (though they acknowledged that the reservation was for 2 rooms and 4 people). The front desk offered no apology and seemed completely unconcerned about the issue and blamed Hotels.com for the error (which may have been true, but didn't do much for me in the moment). The manager was finally able to approve a larger room to accommodate us all, but charged an 'upgrade fee' and, again, no apologies were offered for the issue. They did not seem to have any alternative solutions had that room not been available since they were sold out.
I was anticipating the room to be somewhat 'dated' which is clear in the photos online, however I was incredibly disappointed at how little this property invested in basic amenities like shampoo/conditioner (attached to the shower wall), towels (thin, small, only 2 provided), pillows (LUMPY!), and lighting (dark).
I will admit that the cold breakfast bar was a pleasant surprise - high quality, well stocked, and timely. Aside from that I would have been hard pressed to find a bright spot during this stay.
Was it completely awful? No, it wasn't really that bad but I wouldn't say I left as a satisfied guest.
Would I come here again? Probably not, unless it was at a significant discount and my other options were limited.

I could hear loud rap music at 3AM…lots of chatter after midnight

The hotel first checked me into a room that had a card reader that didn't work so door was open for anyone to walk in. They switched me to another room and the new room smelled like cigarettes, I went down and asked for an air freshener and they said they don't have any. When I got back to the hotel on the first day there I noticed the room had not been serviced so I got to the phone to call guest services and the phone didn't work. I go down to the lobby and request service and when I got back I noticed they didn't clean, change the sheets or replace the toilet paper. I ran out of toilet paper on the second day there. I went and complained again and they finally serviced the room, changed the sheets and replace the toilet paper. I'll never stay here ever again!

Had a mini kitchen which we didn’t use but the property was perfect for a visit with our kids

Close by where I needed to be overall a little dated with no charger at the desk

Great location for us. The bed was a double so a little small for us. The furniture was a little worn and scuffed. “Breakfast” was all packaged food that was barely edible.
Good shows and towels, great to have a full kitchen if minimal with just 2 forks, two plates, etc. we will go back but choose a bigger room with queen bed and separate room. Great staff and quiet.

Nice property, staff great except one person.
Beds were dbl, not queen, old lumpy.
Brkfst: not so great, slim pickings, coffee not hot very weak except Sat. Great

The rooms have kitchens which is nice but the condition of the property (at least in our room) was rundown. The cabinets are worn and scratched. Paint could be freshened. The refrigerator was very old and never stopped running rather noisily. The TVs were both very old with horrible pictures. I do not fault the staff, the property just needs an update with new paint, appliances and electronics. The location is convenient but not he greatest part of town. They are pet friendly which is great. I would stay here again but only because of the pet policy and hoe close it was to family.

Liked that they had a restraunte next door, plus a number of stores around the area.
Negetive part was the property itself, very unkeeped and dirty.

This was the quietest room I have stayed in for many years. I am a light sleeper, so the quiet was important. There was plenty of convenient free parting. A comfortable stay.

The hotel was decent and OK, however it seemed a bit tired and worn. The floors in the room seemed very old, the refrigerator was very noisy, bed very creaky. Staff were functional but not friendly. Price was good and location good for me but long in the tooth compared to other local hotels.

Convenient to sac state university. There was security in the parking lot 24 hrs appreciated that. Rooms run down outdated. Overprices

This place had the worst bed I’ve ever slept on. The guest were drinking in the lobby and I did not feel comfortable.

Nice people working there. Hotel is dated and in need of a remodel. Breakfast was pretty good. Staff is very friendly.

This hotel is not in a great spot in Sacramento so automatically it loses points which is hard and not the hotels fault. The staff were friendly during check in and allowed us to switch rooms because the first one we were given smelled a lil funky. The rooms are a bit outdated and you feel a little like you’re staying in a hotel they would make fun of in a 70s movie. We were unable to use the AC unit as the air blowing out smelled like old syrup which made the room unpleasant. Overall we were going to stay 2 nights here but ended up staying only one. There were other factors but ultimately I (female 130lbs, 5”5’) did not feel comfortable walking my dog alone and the people we were visiting were in Roseville so it made sense to move hotels. It was fine. If you’re snobby about hotels, you will have a pretty big problem with this place. If you read that last sentence and went, “I’m not snobby” then don’t stay here because, I hate to break it to you but you are. Lol

Jordan made check-in effortless and easy he was a complete gentleman and professional The hotel is dirty and old and should be about half the price that it is. They promised a continental breakfast and it was a microwave breakfast burrito s yogurt and other things you had to cook for yourself. The layout of the hotel is great if somebody actually put in the time money and effort to make it presentable it would be a worthwhile property but it is in shambles.

Parking isn't always easy very crowded.

Check in was great, I was early and they looked after me and gave me a choice of floors to boot, very happy with that. The area was great for my needs, walking trail nearby which does take a bit more navigating to get too due to construction but all good, restaurants and Ralph's in the car park so all good. The lack of an ice bucket was odd, front desk gave you a garbage bag and the leaf blowers began their work a bit to early for me but that was about it. Limited TV channels but the room was a godd size with everything you could want for a short or long term stay, highly recommend if you need this area

I very accessible location. Staff very hard working and affable. Rooms a great value, but aging.
Only recommendation is breakfast. Much better than expected, but more popular items, like milk, breakfast biscuits, are gone within first 60-90 minutes (6am start). Still, excellent!
