I had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel. Despite the staff being acceptable (besides the GM), the property desperately needs extensive renovations. I would rate it below one star if possible.
**Pros:**
- The environment was quiet.
- The refrigerator was clean.
- The TV was functional.
**Cons:**
- The cabinets were falling off their hinges.
- The shower curtain rod was rusted and barely hanging on.
- There were old, half-patched wall mounts throughout.
- The presence of mold in the bathroom was concerning.
- The entire room had an unpleasant odor of mildew and wet dog.
- The towel rack was hanging by a single screw.
- There were noticeable and unsightly stains on the bed skirts.
- The door showed severe damage, appearing as if it had been previously broken into.
- The lock mechanism felt loose and insecure.
- The elevator alarm was frequently triggered.
- The provided "breakfast" was substandard and barely worth mentioning.
Unfortunately, due to a family emergency that cut our trip short, we had to leave after just two nights despite paying for four. Both the hotel and hotels.com refused to refund even a single day.

I chose Extended Stay of America for the kitchenette but they didn't have any dishes, utensils or pots and pans. They also said they needed a $100 security deposit that i wasn't aware of. But they said it was just a temporary hold and the hold would be removed upon checking out. They didn't release the hold they actually charged me $100.

The room had a smell and the floors was sticky.. Not to mention the door didn’t close all the way.. The sick was backed up it was just a mess

Absolutely horrible place. When we walked up to our room, as soon as we walked into it, we were overcome with the stench of cigarette smoke. We called the front desk and they said they could get us some air freshener. We booked another hotel nearby immediately and left. I want my money back. Totally unacceptable.

Equipped Kitchen is accurate only if you ask for dishes, etc. at front desk and carry them to your room. Even then, you will not get everything you need - no cups, bowls, or toaster provided. Finally did get cups and bowls later but toasters were not available because “they walk.” I suggested this was the cost of doing business to which the staff turned her back.

Upon checking in which was very late at night we were informed that the hotel would have no water after 9am. Now after waking up early to take a shower the water was turned off earlier than 9am. The smell in the room was horrible the condition of the furniture was all beat up. Very horrible experience at this property would never recommend.

The front desk representative at checkin was unfriendly, unprofessional, and unwelcoming.
The non smoking room smelled like cigarettes All night the refrigerator and heater was in competion of who can make the loudness noise.

The room was very old and needed updating, when they say free breakfast you expect a breakfast not a breakfast bar or muffin, my son has a job where he cannot leave at 5:00 so he called the front desk and told them he would be coming in on thanksgiving morning they told him they would leave a message, and when I checked it wendsday night I told the manager he would be in on Thursday morning she said she would leave a message for the morning manager. When my son tried to check in he was told the room was not available anymore even though the day manager and the night manager was told. When I talked to the night manager about what happened she said there was 24 rooms advailable and that the day manager should of charged him 10.00 the day manager was very rude my son had to try to find a room on thanksgiving day. Will not ever book with that hotel chain anymore. I would appreciate a response on the problem that we had.

The room overall was dirty. There was a potato chip on the bed, the comforter had stains on it, trash under the bed.

We were taken back when we were asked to provide a $100. Security Deposit. This information was not afforded to us when we made our reservation. We live on a very fixed income and would have liked to have known this prior to our visit.

Multiple items broken or did not work. Dirty towels and beds. One light didn't work. There are better places to stay in Bensalem.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The furniture and cabinets in the room need to be fixed or replaced. All in all a good place to stay.

Very disappointed. They advertised breakfast included. It was only a take with you breakfast that consisted of prepackaged muffin, granola bar and packaged oatmeal. Coffee was decent. Kitchen was not complete. Not even a coffeemaker in the room or an ice maker in the hotel. The only redeeming quality was the bed was comfortable.

$100 Security deposit that I will get back in "a couple of days". Classy place. Also, blaring video and message at check in counter stating that "recording in progress". Sure makes you feel secure. What a dump.

Location: great.
Room: Worn down furniture, broken electrical and bathroom fixtures, itchy blankets, dirty bathroom, dirty carpet.
Housekeeping: Never got any room service. Had to take towels to the office to get them washed and returned.
Washer and dryer in the bldg expensive but good.

Interestingly, using a third-party site does not guarantee the exact type of room I desired. Didn't understand their pet-friendly policy either. Just a lot of confusion. After a long drive, all I wanted to do was to check in and get settled in your room.
Also, I was given a room that was already occupied. Then the next room was not satisfying. We found a bug. As the manager would say, "It is just a regular bug that flew in the door." Weird. I want a bug-free room.
Very disappointed. Glad I was able to find a different hotel in the area.

There is no breakfast. Just cereal bars and coffee. I just stopped to sleep, on my way back home. Got there around midnight and the front desk staff was having a very bad argument with a person trying to make a reservation. .. The staff was very disrespectful.

The surrounding area was beautiful but this stay was not enjoyable for us. 2 doors down from us a couple were fighting badly and pounding on walls so hard it shook our room and cops were called. There was a kitchen with absolutely nothing in it to use to cook,no utensils available. The place smelled dirty.we had to take our dirty bathroom items down to be washed and had to wait over an hour to get them before we could shower again.over all this was not a pleasurable stay and we will not return or recommend staying here.over priced for what you get and the breakfast had minimal options available
