I really love the staff there. Kind courteous.

Stayed on east end to avoid crowds. Nice resort and nice upgraded room with wonderful ocean view. Pool bar service great and enjoyed happy hour and availability of restaurant food while being close to ocean. Beach less than desirable with murky water and seaweed. Also no umbrellas

Property itself was nice. Quiet location away from busy parts of island. Staff was friendly. Beach wasn’t great. Not the Caribbean blue waters of Seven Mile Beach. Lots of sargassum washes up so water is dirty and beach is filled with it and it smells.

No Airport Shuttle. Expensive Cab ride from airport slightly discounted on the return leg. Could have rented a car for almost the same price. For a place with Reef in the name, there was no Reef to snorkel. Surf was choked with Sargassum and deeper swim area had strong current. On-Site Water Sports facility was unhelpful. Went to next property over to get service from their Dive Shop. Suite was clean, had good AC, big, equipped kitchen.

Great east coast area

The resort overall was nice but I didn’t like that they placed us at the very last building when we had an 80 year old with us. Our room should have been in. Location closer to the front of the hotel. The food at the resort was very expensive. Menus were limited and food choices nearby were mostly not accessible unless you had a car. The. Only other option was a small pizzeria and market with not many choices. We paid $95 for breakfast every day. The food was ok but I feel like breakfast should be included for what they charge to stay there. There was seaweed problem when we arrived and it stank up the beach.

Fabulous beach. Staff was very pleasant and friendly.

On the quiet side of the island. I really like how empty and peaceful the beaches were. The food was really good! The bartenders made amazing drinks!
The front desk staff was very nice! Only negative is how thin the walls were and the stomping from the people below me all day and night dragging chairs.
The roosters will wake you up every morning

Steven at the front desk was amazing. Chef in the restaurant was excellent.

Beach is full of seaweed. They clean it once in the morning but it is not enough. Barely can enjoy the beach due to it. Staff wasn’t very friendly. Buildings are old. No sliding doors on the property. Very expensive property for very lackluster amenities. Went with family but they couldn’t accommodate adjacent rooms so we were spread all around. Wouldn’t visit again.

Its fair to say that we enjoyed the stay in Wyndham over all. But there were many issue people should be aware. First, when I booked the stay here, I clearly indicated that its 2 adults and 4 year old child. Expedia showed us available rooms, I picked the first with king size bed, our son sleeps with us. I paid, we were excited. When I checked us in, receptionist was very surprised that we have son. I booked the hotel indicating with have a child! He informed me that we HAVE to upgrade room to huge appartment and pay extra 300! We got room with multiple beds, big kitchen and living room. Yeah, room was nice but we didn't need it and were forced into it.Second issue was local supermarket. Receptionist suggested to buy food there, omg. Every produce was moldy and old, everything was overpriced comparing to George Town stores, dont waste your time going there. Hotel is right on the beach but its a side with a lot of seaweed and they dont clean it every day. Hotel Restaurant is good but they switched our bills with another customer. We didnt realize it because they dont give you receipt with prices of what you got but only the final price. We left, went back to our room and got ready for bed. Suddenly phone started to ring, we didnt want to answer it since we didnt expect any phone call but it was harrasing us, we andwered, no apology just we will charge your room, if you are interested, come for receipt. Weird.
Pools were clean and nice, activities were great, good coffee shop

The staff was FABULOUS!!!!!! Anything we needed they were on it. Only wish was that the restaurant Tides would change up they're menu a little, if you didn't want buffet it was the same menu constantly.

We loved staying at the Wyndham. It was beautiful and quiet; restaurant on property was excellent; dining on the beach at the beach bar was amazing. Every room is beach front. Shopping right across the street. Concierge was very helpful. Friendly atmosphere. Can't wait to return!

My wife and I spent a week (18-25 March) at Wyndham Reef and can summarize our stay as a quiet, restful and pleasant experience. Our one bedroom condo was spotless with a very comfortable bed and full kitchen. Most mornings we had breakfast at Wyndham Reef's Tides restaurant, which was very good. Only hiccup was one morning our breakfast order took forever (25 minutes) and when we finally asked, we were told they ran out of eggs and had to go get some. They should have let us know this and gone ahead and brought out the fruit bowl my wife had ordered while we waited. We only had dinner one night at The Tides but it was also very good. There are two sets of swimming pools with hot tub which is convenient on days when the surf is too rough. The beach area is very nice with a great view, but as is the case with the rest of Caribbean/ Florida/ Mexico the sargassum seaweed was a bit of an issue. We included a photo. The resort did have equipment to dredge it up. Also, some areas in the water off the beach is a bit rocky. Not idea but manageable. We saw a lot of fish near the pier for those who snorkel. Also need to mention the roosters. They are everywhere on the island and a few around the resort. Not an issue for the most part, but they did wake us up every morning between 4 & 5 AM.
All-in-all we had a very nice stay at a well maintained and operated resort. Another positive is across the street is a mini-mart, liquor store and italian restaurant that's very good.

We loved the chickens. Absolutely perfect vacation. Ocean was close.

Fantastic property for a family vacation, away from the hustle of Georgtown and Seven Mile beach. Property is very well maintained, staff is amazing, and rooms are spacious and all with an ocean view. Snorkeling is great and food options at the priperty and around, even though not abundant, are fantastic.

Great property. Smaller resort and quiet area but still lots to do. 3 Pools, 2 hot tubs, beach and pool volleyball. Good smaller gym. Tennis court. Great beach. Friendly staff. Food is good. Snorkeling is good. Grocery's, liquor, car rental, another restaurant right across the road. Tukka restaurant down road. 45 min from airport and minimal night entertainment or shows but great quiet place.

Not recommended . we had problems several times when we organized things through concierge . Not much to do in this side of the island . The only thing I liked at this hotel was the resturant.

THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL IF NEEDED. QUIET, WELL KEPT, SURPRISINGLY GOOD FOOD. THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T LIKE WAS THE TOILET PAPER.

We had the best time. The staff was fantastic and went above and beyond while we were there. The team was so friendly, accommodating and helpful. our girls loved their visit and we can’t wait to plan our next trip back.
We can’t wait to return!

Every room has an ocean view from your balcony/patio. The beach begins when your patio ends, the ocean is a few yards away. Stunning! We most enjoyed our balcony, beach and ocean access. It's in a calmer area (East End) of the island. We loved it! Still easy access (we rented a car) to wonderful restaurants (Tukka, Over the Edge), a grocery store, gift shop, Italian Restaurant and liquor store across the street. We did caves tour (north end), visited parrot sanctuary, botanical gardens, blow holes, Rum Point, fishing off the reef and visited an Art Studio and Produce Farm. There is much more to do that we missed - we had a great time relaxing at the resort. The bar and restaurant at the resort is good too and had live music most nights. Very enjoyable, highly recommend.

Pros:
Right on beach
Nice beach bar
Tasty food (though a bit pricey, but there is a subway on site for a cheaper option).
Live music a few nights
Grocery and liquor store conveniently across the street and a decent Italian restaurant with pizza
Another nice beach bar at the property next door.
Ocean Frontiers dive shop on site (do great tours and will pick you up at the hotel)
Plenty of beach chairs
Property in general well maintained
Cons:
Lots of seaweed, and they only groomed it twice in our 6 days.
The room smelled moldy (I saw this on other reviews, also)
You really should rent a car if staying here. Quite remote.
Overall, enjoyed our stay here and felt it was a good value for Cayman.

Loved that this property was remote from other resorts. Never had to worry about finding lounge chair. Food was excellent onsite but also had opportunity to explore area. Very relaxing

We stayed 4 nights in a deluxe beachfront room that was so conveniently located in the resort, just steps to the ocean and pools. Very chill part of the island and super easy to get around with rental car.

The property and staff were amazing. It is a little off the beaten path. Hard to get transport to other areas.

We enjoyed staying at the Wyndham Reef Resort. It is not fancy but clean and comfortable. We liked the extra space of the apartment with our child. The pier and snorkeling right off the beach on the property were great - tons of fish to see! It is located on the opposite of 7mile beach (45 mins by car) but closer to other activities that we enjoyed a lot like the bioluminescent tour, stingray city and crystal caves.
