This resort was very well maintained, was very clean and had great services.. we were a family group of 11 with ages from 3-65… We all thoroughly enjoyed the resort and had no issues for such a large group.. we found the food outstanding, specialty restaurants were extremely good dining experiences! The resort had a Mexican Fiesta night outdoors one night and an outdoor grill night on another. These were great inclusions we all loved. Huge amount of effort putting these on and the food/entertainment was excellent! Pools and beach were A1. They were very clean, never a problem getting pool and beach chairs. Swim up bars we’re great.. The staff at this resort are wonderful. We had great service throughout and were impressed at how well we were treated at every venue.. None of our party had any gastro issues on the entire trip and that is normally not possible. They use bottled water and food handing is obviously a priority! The only issues we had were with specialty restaurant reservations process. You must attempt to get these after arriving at a desk between 8&3 daily.. not easy to get any at desirable times for young children and availability is an issue.. system needs to be easier as I saw long lines at times and it needs to be more fluid.. No bottled water is available in resort. They have water coolers in each floor for rooms. They aren’t large so do run out regularly, would really like plastic bottles instead, especially for pools and beach

Beds were very uncomfortable.

Staff was great. But it is a timeshare, so be ready for that if you are not expecting it. Pools and beach was great. The Italian and Mexican restaurant was also great. Not sure they still have people stand in line to try to book the restaurants at one at a time when we live in a digital world of booking apps.

Nice and clean property , perfect setting for a family getaway

There were a number of member only areas that were not clearly advertised. Some restaurants were not available to non-members and service was slow at pool bars. Ala carte restaurants were half empty to save space for members and some food options were only available to members. Overall resort was average. Pools were nice but the drink service was non existent.

Shows were good, maid service was good, The alacarte restaurants were a nightmare to book into and were half empty, catered more to the members, didn’t restock fridge, server at the pool bar needs to up his game or retire

There are several restaurants advertised that you are not allowed to use unless you are a "member." Which I was told is about $20,000 to become.... No thanks. The resort definitely caters to it's members rather that the other patrons. Staff were very friendly but more of a time share selling vibe than all inclusive resort compared.to previous experiences in mexico

Staff at Marival are the best! They are warm, friendly & go above and beyond. The resort is clean, the food is good, and there is an assortment of activities. Dissapointed there were not as many activity staff as in the past. We will return again next year because the staff are excellent.

All in all it was nice. The staff was very friendly and did a great job. The food was just ok. Wasnt overly crowded so you could get chairs at the pool and beach. Loved the sunsets!!

Although this property is older they have done a great job of maintaining it. Close to the airport, shopping a 15 mins walk away, staff is very friendly and helpful. Restaurants were pretty good and so was the buffet. They have theme nights most nights which was fun for a week stay. If I was staying longer would have explored more local restaurants. All the rooms in the two main buildings have ocean views and very clean. They could do better at explaining what is open when and the reservations for the restaurant is not the best. The only other thing I could point out is that they do not have a scale and that would have been helpful. Overall a great little hotel and great for families and people who want a quieter resort.

Beachfront and pool was very nice. Rooms could use some care - especially bedding - always felt damp and had an odour.

Was a great resort!

We were traveling with an infant and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were so friendly and accommodating of our requests. The resort was clean and the food was great! I was so impressed at the amount of activities they had going on at the resort. We will definitely be returning!

Breath taking property. We were upgraded to a suite, well worth the hour sales pitch (we denied). Food was nothing amazing but service was wonderful and everything, from the rooms, the property, the pools and walkways and the beach, were all so clean and well kept. Thanks for a great vacation!!

This was a disappointing stay. We were there for five days and couldn't get a restaurant reservation any night, which matched the experience of many others I spoke to. The food at the buffets was fine, but it would have been nice to have a sit down for just one meal. The Mexican party night (every Tuesday) was beautiful, but there was a long line and started at 6:30, which was hard for lots of the kids in line. There were always employees doing little improvements, which was nice to see. Painting, scrubbing walkways, etc. But the bars and restaurants could use more employees. And I found the front desk to be quite rude. The walls are very thin and unfortunately, we had someone next door that had an alarm that went off at 5:00 am every morning and they slept through it (for like 10 minutes). I asked the front desk to ask the folks next door to stop setting it and was laughed at. A tip: BRING CASH! The ATM charges a $8USD fee. The hotel will not help you hire a taxi, will only book you their own car, which you have to pay cash for. Puts you in a bind if you're in a time crunch to get to the airport and gave your last cash out as tips. Also, be prepared to be told that you can't have some little luxuries like a late checkout because you booked through Expedia. Wasn't the worst place I've stayed, but I wouldn't recommend it.

We just returned from staying at Marival Emotions and it was a fantastic trip! The resort far exceeded our expectations. There was lots for kids to do and the dining & evening shows were great. The staff were super helpful and did their best to accommodate requests. The attention to detail at the kid’s buffet was also a really nice touch! We will recommend Marival to our friends and family. My only complaint would be the 4 parrots that are housed in a cage near the main entrance. They seem bored and their cage isn’t a suitable habitat. I hope management will consider relocating them somewhere where they can have more enrichment and live in a more natural habitat.

Staff very friendly. But our room was dated, bathroom faucet broke within the first 5hours of our stay and we had a broken lamp which was clearly broke in our room. VERY difficult times trying to get reservations in any of the restaurants due to allowing guests to book for a week at a time. Only one staff to manage everyone. This could have definitely been done better. Aside those 2 issues the facility staff and area were great

I really liked this place. I’ve been to a lot of all inclusives but this was the first time with kids (3 and 4). The kids pool is great and shallow, great water slides and there’s a good view of the whole kids pool from all the chairs for my sanity. There are lifeguards watching too. The other pools are fun, one adult only and then a big family one. Pools are decently warm too! The music and atmosphere is great. Make sure to put your towels out on your chairs in the morning. The room was good, we got a great ocean view and pool view. Our room number was 1719 for ref. When I booked it was a resort room, other people we met had the back side and the view wasn’t as good. We got 2 double beds, they were very hard but still was able to sleep. The mini fridge has a little water jug you can fill up around the resort (and on each floor) from a filtered dispenser. They clean your room everyday, the staff is really nice. Drinks were good, food was actually delicious. Highly recommend ALL the Mexican food! La Bamba (next to the kids pool) has good lunch - but the pizza restaurant has a good lunch and no one really goes there because it’s not next to pools so it’s super quiet and delicious. The buffet gets super busy in the mornings so we got there around 8-830 and it was perfect. The crepes are good. Getting resos sucks for a la carte - good luck. The magic show was cute, all their shows are good, they start at 9. I hear the Michael Jackson one was good but we missed it! 10/10!

We went with our three kids ages 4, 6, and 16. This is a great place for families. The resort is not luxurious but is kept meticulously clean. The cleaning lady made our room sparkle after our little ones made such a mess. The facilities were all super clean. The tile by the pools would get very slippery and I almost fell a couple times and saw a couple other people fall. The beach is amazing, shallow with the perfect sized waves for fun and still safe for kids. The sand is soft and not rocky at all in the water. We never left the resort for the whole week we were there because we loved the sun and beach and amenities. I only had two complaints, When you check in they pull you aside and try to pressure you into a timeshare presentation. We were tired from traveling and just wanted to go to our room but they took about 30 minutes trying to get us to sign up. Also, there are many restaurants on this property but two of them are only for members and there are three or four that were reservation only and we tried to get reservations and they were always booked and they gave us 9:20 pm reservations when we have little kids so we only got to eat at one of the nice restaurants one time. The buffet was good but we ate there three times a day for most of the time so we were tired of going there. The waitstaff were all so friendly and helpful though. Even with the restaurant situation we would still go back as it was the perfect place for kids. Lots of activities!

We been at this property before but this time Room 1533 was durty unbeliveble durty bed sheets old very old and durty as well I have to asked to changet . Please do something for us gues I always bood trhoght your agency and it seem like this time they give as a really poor service. hope next get away will be a betther experience

Limited eating options during the day. Beautiful ocean view though

This is an excellent resort for families. The kids pool is great, with two waterslides that go into a very shallow pool that both my small kids loved. Only problem is they don't turn them on until 10am! It is heated, so even if it is a little cool outside the pool is still a great activity. The ocean is right next to the pool and is great for swimming - but can be a bit rough for small kids. Rooms are relatively clean. Staff is nice. The food isn't bad, not gourmet. The sit down restaurants are impossible to get into, we ended up at the pizza place (pizza is average, at best) or the buffet each night. There is a lunch buffet by the kids pool, but you can't take the food back to lounge chairs or your room. No pool food service at all. Downsides: There is nothing around the hotel. You can't go to the neighboring hotels, they will not let you on the property without wristbands. The nearest town (Bucerias) to walk around in is a 20 minute cab ride away. DO NOT book the airport transportation through the hotel. I booked a private van so that we could get two car seats. When we arrived at the airport it was total chaos and no one from the company knew what was going on. They only brought one car seat and they didn't even install it correctly. On the way back to the airport, they had two car seats but both were broken and even if they weren't the van they used didn't allow for them to be properly installed. I asked for a refund and they refused, then stopped answering me.

We had 5 restauraunts to choose from. Food was very good and even exceptional at Amalfi and the Mexican restauraunt, (forgot the name). Segregated adult pool area was nice and relaxing... ambiance of the hotel was nice, not too noisy but not boring. Mexican party night was a nice touch. There were lots to do on the property.. we played ping pong, pickle ball and utilized the game room. We didn't make it to the nightly entertainment but heard it was good. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

I had a amazing stay with my family at marival. It's able to fit for any kind of families. One of the best is the activities. There is always have various activities are waiting for your choose. Our family spend all night at the theater, as there are different wonderful shows every night, especially for kids. Beach sand is very soft and clean. Many restaurants options for your launch and dinner. However, I found hair in the dishes two time once i have dinner at Casa Bella, however they changed whole dish right away. The other cons is the room they allocated to us was over dated and always smell wet at room. Others are almost wonderful.

Was great for famillies

We were shown to our room by the fabulous Karina. She was insightful, and so helpful with the shows, ala cart reservations, and tours. It’s needing an update for gym equipment, but the facilities are great for kids (ours is 6). The staff have amazing energy, and there is a great mix of people staying from Mexico and around the Globe. Lots of people from Canada. Carlos and the activities staff have amazing engagement and the performances are some of the best in PV.

The room we had was listed as a suite and was very basic and in a terrible location. The food was mediocre and my son and I both got food poisening the last night. I asked the hotel if we could extend checkout by 3 hours so we could recover before our flight. They said since other guests had not gotten sick that it wasn't them. We would have to pay for the time. Unbelievable. Definitely would not recommend and will never stay here again.
