This is an older hotel that we were told will begin renovations in June. Our main problem was the very noisy AC and its difficult to control thermostat. Other than that, we were pleased with the breakfast, the walkable location, the valet parking, and the size of the room and its amenities. Our room was in a quiet area away from the elevator. Next year when renovations are complete, we will stay here again.

They were able to get us in at noon when we were transferring from another hotel, staff were all super attentive and extremely helpful. Loved our king suite room with terrace & the pool area and super close walking distance to the pier. Will definitely be back!

Nice average hotel in great location. Room was comfortable except for the bed, which was springy and kind of lumpy.

For only a one night stay, it was surprisingly very relaxing. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were eager to help. Valet team was great. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good. Check in and check out was easy. No complaints at all.

Pros: The hotel has a wonderful location in easy walking distance to the harbor, museums, restaurants, shopping and parks. It feels very safe as well. Further, the hotel staff is very efficient, friendly and kind. The breakfast area is immaculate. The additional fee ($18.00) per day for parking with valet service was worth it to us. It was done very efficiently. Cons: Our room was dated with brown colored walls and carpet. The beds were too soft for us and it was evident that the box spring was very old and sagging. The carpeting smelled of what could have been a chemical cleaner. The light bulb above the entryway into the room was burned out. We have stayed in Hampton Inns that were in better and worse conditions than this one.

Paid extra for a private balcony although the balcony was part of the patio open to everyone therefore was not private at all. The view was a fence on the patio which was open and literally a barrier fence so the public could not open sliding glass doors to the room. Very disappointed

The hotel was in a perfect location to enjoy everything in downtown St. Pete: Dali Museum, great dining, Mahaffey theater, etc. The staff was very efficient and friendly. The room was fine, nothing fancy but it had a nice chair with an ottoman, a real desk and chair, minifrig and microwave.

I don't like that they took a $25 incidental charge from us at check in, charged us or some crackers seperately, and never gave us a receipt on any of it. What was the $25 for? We never spend anything to be charged against it. We want the $25 back and a receipt for our stay.

We were in town for one night. Girls night out. The Hampton Inn &Suites in St. Pete/Downtown was perfect. Lots to do and see in that area. Might not have had the greatest view, but we got to people watch as we sat and visited. I always try to stay in a Hampton Inn for safety reasons. Highly recommend.

Great location, very clean. Complimentary breakfast was very good. Lots of options and well stocked. Every single employee we encountered was genuine and friendly (valets, front desk, manager, breakfast staff, and housekeeping). Such a pleasant stay, wish we could've stayed longer!

I want to give a special thank you to PJ at the front desk. He was very helpful in giving us tips on public transportation, area restaurants and any additional needs we had with our room requests. The included breakfast buffet is very nice. My only request would be more attention be paid to the pool. It needed some pool skimming to remove debris. I will stay there again.
