Great location but thats about it !
Hybrid service.
Pay big bucks and do everything yourself.
Basically is still open thanks to corporate events.
Self service hotel !

Excellent location, very helpful staff, good quality room. Two double beds worked great for our family of four. One minor issue I can point to is quite unusual and very loud noise from the water pipes in the bathroom. It was loud enough to wake us up a couple of times, and that with closed bathroom door! Overall though I would definitely recommend this hotel.

we arrive around 7 pm. I reserved king bad in the suite.
At the reception I was told that it is not available for us.
I was offered "upgrade" with 2 double beds. When I opened the door the afful smel of something was triggred our had
ache. I came back to reception asking for the room I reserved with one king bed. With visual discomfort i got the key for my room. BUT it was the same 2 beds room.
On third time after waiting 45 minutes I got the room with one king bad.
This is 4 star hotel. In the room we discover disposable cups for coffe. no cup or any place to put our tooth brush or any personal belonnings. The carpet felt dusty and old, the same couch dusty and probably never seen any vacuuming or shampooing service.
No bottle opener in the room. On my multiple requests to bring it to the room I was reffered to bring my bottle to the bar and ask for glass as well. TV is very unfriendly requiring guests to use own phone instead of remote.
We could not download anything using tv instructions.
No robs or slippres in the room. Shampoo and other were delivered after request. These bottles are very small and last only for one person. The floor in the bath tub is slippery needs to be careful not to fall down.
Once the room was not cleaned at all even we left at 2:30pm.
Over all the room is feels unpleasant not homie. An old lighting of cheap motel meets you at the door entry to the room and all every where you are.
This is not high level of Hyatt servise expected to be.

We had an issue with the parking & then again at breakfast first morning but the staff was able to fix it and keep relationship of satisfied customer intact. Very friendly overall and the cleaning lady “Maria” was also very efficient and warm.

This hotel was truly amazing, the staff the surrounding area, the people in general was such an amazing vibe so many different restaurants and things to do . The subway to New York is a two min walk. The views of Manhattan at night are spectacular and Breathtaking will stay again
I will definitely be back

We booked a room for 2 adults and our 10yr old Daughter. On arrival we were told we’d been assigned a king room which had 1 king bed! When I asked about the 2nd bed or sofa, I was told there was only 1 bed in the room as the sofa wasn’t useable as a bed! I pointed out that we had our daughter and we’d booked clearly on the website. Lady at reception said this was the room we’d been assigned, but we could have a double room with 2 double beds instead! The “double beds” are barely larger than a single, so my wife ended up sleeping with my daughter as it was not going to be a comfortable nights sleep with 2 of us in the “small double”
House keeping staff friendly and helpful.
Less than a minute walk to the PATH station which takes you across to NYC to the World Trade Centre and also a couple coffee shops very close by.
Freedom Tower can easily be seen across the water, as can Statue of Liberty from the more forward parts of the hotel.
The pool is very small and chilly, but the gym is good enough with a range of cardio and weights options.
We didn’t use the restaurant or bar facilities.

It was a wonderful 3 day - 2 night stay and tour of NYC. My friends had a great time. The hotel is next to the PATH -Exchange Place into the city. There are a few convenient coffee shops nearby, even a Subway, Five Guys, Dunkin' and others that may be cost conservative. The Hyatt is not cheap, but it is nice, convenient and the scenery is free. I'd pay the extra to be a top place to stay for a visit to NYC.

Nice, clean hotel. Right next to Path station and ferry. Over the Hudson. Room was clean and nice and modern. Only minor complaint was communication. I called on the room phone for a wake up call. Was put on hold and forgotten. No one came back to the phone for 10 mins and I hung up. I called back and the woman asked what time and I said 8:30 a.m. and gave my room # to be safe. Guess what? No wake up call at all the next morning. Sunday morning, Easter, I tried to call down to a person to ask if the breakfast buffet was open and until what time. I tried every choice of button in the phone, no one answered. Got voice mail eventually and no human. I was able to find out it appeared open by making a reservation on OpenTable and when I went downstairs I found it was in fact open. It's not a huge deal of course, but I was trying to coordinate breakfast with a friend in town. Answer the phone please and make your wake up calls.

The Hyatt was amazing! Amazing location - literally right beside subway and overlooking nyc. My daughter was celebrating her birthday and Michael (front desk) organized a beautiful set of treats for her. He even placed it in the room as a surprise for her! Customer service is top notch at this hotel. The ladies at the front desk Also gave us a beautiful breakfast for our daughter as well. We felt so appreciated and cared for. Maria in housekeeping (6th floor) kept our room spotless. We will definitely visit again!

Great location, hotel was nice. Staff was friendly.

The room was average. The pillows were awful and so flat it was like not having one. We went to the front desk on two occasions asking for more towels and they never brought them (they only had two in our room and we had 4 people). After two failed attempts we went to pool to take some so we had towels to shower.
We asked for more pillows they told us none were available. They had two on each bed but they were so flat you needed two to make one normal sized. While we were sleeping one night around midnight random people were running the halls screaming and knocking on our door. My husband answered once and when he opened the door they laughed and ran. Kind of ridiculous to allow that to occur so late into the night.
The breakfast was ridiculously priced. The hotel was conveniently located near the path subway to go to WTC which was nice. There is a parking garage somewhat close but it’s definitely a fair walk with luggage.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay due to the location of the hotel. The service itself was awful. We stay at hotels often and I’ve never had an issue getting towels or pillows.

Great location for visiting New York. Near Path, nice surroundings, wonderful view. Comfortable beds. A little old but nothing for us to complain about.

Electrical outlet by the bed did not work. The shower had no water pressure at all. The vending machines on each floor would not accept debit or credit cards. They were broken. The list goes on.

Stay was for a visit to St. Peter’s university. The hotels location was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! First, then valet was extremely under staffed, give yourself AMPLE TIME! Bar/ Restaurant was great food very good for bar food and service even BETTER!! Bed for me was very uncomfortable! If staying in Jersey ever again I would stay 1-2 nights only because of the beds hard sleeping!

Looking for a quiet and relaxing stay and it was. Beautiful view of the Hudson and the city. The room was clean and larger than I anticipated. The Caesar salad w grilled chicken was the best I had in a while at the hotel's lounge. Enjoyed my stay… would come back again.

Excellent stay, but as a guest I think parking of car should be complimentary. Thought restaurant expensive, overpriced breakfast
2.0
Okay hotel, close to a lot of places and close to Manhattan.
2.0
The elevator was bit old, so the sensor of the key doesn’t work sometimes.
The room was spacious. And easy to access to Manhattan by Path.
During the weekend, the Path was limited,
So it takes to go and off to Manhattan.

The lobby and everything that goes with it is great. They should however, put some money into the electrical in the rooms. Phone chargers would just fall out. They are out dates and should be fixed before somebody get hurt.

This level of hotel should be at least a little flexible.

Good experience, just the parking of the vehicle is a bit offset!

Incredible location, aging hotel but still excellent value for money. Parking is affordable given the proximity to New York City. The location of the Path 30 seconds walk away is the winning point of this hotel.

it was an extraordinary hotel 10 years ago I always went to this hotel for its service, its courtesy and its refinement. Today it is outdated, dirty, horrible attitude of the staff, gourmet restaurant closed and extremely expensive for a hotel like this. It was my last time unfortunately, a shame because it was an incredible spot…before !!!

I do not recommend this Hotel to anyone! We had a terrible experience at Hyatt Regency. Me and my family stayed there for Christmas for 7 nights, and the hotel was fully booked. I guess they were not prepared for that, because we asked for an extra bed set for our daughter to sleep in the couch and they said they did not have any extras. Also, we had to ask more than once to get our room cleaned, and we only got that a "bit organized, not cleaned" on the 5th night, which is unacceptable for a 4 stars hotel. We had to call the room service asking for toilet paper on the same day our room got "cleaned" because the cleaner forgot to replace that and the security brought it to our room because apparently they had no staff available to send over and instead of a toilet paper they gave us a box with facial tissue. I also had to ask for clean towels one day because we were not getting any room service, and the cleaner told me they had run out of them, so she gave me a brad new ones (the only ones she had in her trolley), we could even smell they were never washed, totally brand new. We were so upset!
That was not the kind of service we were expecting and we got very disappointed with everything.
Before the Hotel replies with any kind of offer to a new experience, I would like to reinforce that we stayed there for a total of 7 nights, having all kind of problems and receiving different excuses and apologies but not even once we noticed they tried to improve it.

Very friendly staff. Rooms were cleaned each day. Bar and restaurant were excellent. Mattress is getting old and could be replaced.

All the staff was great, close walking distance for morning coffee was a plus.

Great hotel, fantastic views. Close to PATH station which gets you into Manhattan in 7 mins and at cost of $2.75. Rolns were nig, pool and gym were nice. We'd stay again as the views of Manhattan and Statue of Liberty are amazing

Great location next to Path train. Ferry is 2 blocks away. Great view of fireworks on Jersey side with sight of Statue of Liberty. Overall staff is genuine and kind. Room with a view of NYC skyline is magical.

Hotel was clean and was reasonably priced, but we requested a few blankets and did not receive them. Also I was expecting laundry service to be available due to the level of hotel, but there was no option and the staff was not able to provide help to find a way out of our pinch.

The hotel itself was in a great location as far as transportation. Right next door to The Path. However, the room was not great. Had to call twice for more towels but they never came. Was told they ran out of extra pillows. Our window shade was broken so people could see right in our window being it was on the first floor. Definitely not worth the price we paid.
