I always thought of Motel 6 as lower tier hotels and to not expect much from them. I was happy with my stay for our ski trip in March. It was clean and with firm beds. My 11 year old daughter said "this is the best motel 6 we have stayed". On our the top floor room we could see a redwood out the window. We didn't use pool/jacuzzy.

Comfortable stay with our dogs. Pillow/mattress were very comfortable. Looks like the are doing remodeling. Our hallway which was obviously for pet owners looked a little tired but was not a deal breaker for us. Morning coffee was actually good which is a plus. Negative was the ice machine was on the 3rd floor and not convenient when staying on the first floor.

It was slightly below average. There was no elevator. Doors and windows were in disrepair. Bedding wasn't completely clean. Front desk attendant was friendly, but scarce.

Arrived and was given room 312. We walked in and it smelled like Fabuloso, after about 1 minute it smelled like mold/mildew and I started to get a headache. I noticed the shower floors were dirty. I told the front desk and he then gave me room 310 with no hesitation ( still card a dirty showed floor). 310 was better, no smell of cleaner and nothing to give me a headache. First night after a festival we got back tipsy and didn't notice anything, 2nd night everything was good. The morning we went to check out there was a tiny roach in the bathroom. When we got home everything went straight into the washer. I would probably stay here again because the place has potential and after rationalizing things the first room actually smelled of cat piss and not mold although there was mold in the shower. If you're a clean freak bring your own comet/ajax and a scrubber to clean the shower. Other than that sweet dreams. LOL

Outside of the staff I can’t really recommend this place. Didn’t feel safe. Also, no one works the front desk from 11pm-5pm? I understand being short staffed but who’s in charge during those hours? Is there anyone working?

The first room smelled so bad of cat urine we had to switch. The next room the door had been kicked in and the used wood screws to hold it together. The lock wouldn't latch. Poorly maintained room, beds are like springs on cement slabs. No elevator to get to second floor, no coffee pot in room.

The shower had some mildew in it and its' floor was disgusting. The room was noisy due to what sounded like someone doing work on the floor above at night-early morning.

The staff was great and very accommodating. The condition of the room, though clean, left a lot to be desired. Very minimal (no closet or dresser, bed uncomfortable, damaged door areas, one tiny piece of soap, no hair dryer). Now I know why it is so inexpensive to stay there! Never again.

Initial room had unwashed stains on the floor on arrival, requested to be moved to a different room. They didn't update that in the system and gave the same room to someone else, who tried to get in later that night. I got a call from the front desk at 11:30 that night to confirm my name because no one wrote it down. Really bad experience.

Overall great, but a couple small problems. Lower back parking area had considerable trash on the ground, which makes the property feel I inviting. Inside the room: very clean except for a foul sewer-like smell around the sink, probably venting up through the drain. Very unpleasant but only detectable while standing at the sink. Also, pocket door to the toilet and shower area was sticky and had no lock.

Room was a smoking room in a dark corridor with party people next door. The room was tired & very basic, with limited amenities. (E.g. no extra blankets for the bed.)

The room was dirty, The sink did not drain and the sink pipe leaked on the floor. The toilet was dirty, had something dripping down the front and did not flush. The shower was dirty/stained making you wear your shoes. There was nothing for breakfast. Cops where in the parking lot because people were being kicked out and then staying in the park lot with animals in cages.

First non-smoking room reeked of smoke. Given another room with an apology. Shower wouldn’t get hot. But it’s clean, safe and cheap.

I will start by saying it was clean, if you just need a place to crash it is fine, the fan/heater worked great as did the microwave and fridge. The only downside was the cigarette/marijuana smoke. The only room they had available because of a snow storm was a smoking room so we took it, however the smell of weed in the hallway was too much! Also, we checked in at 5 and could not even use the towels because of the cigarette smoke.They need better ventilation. Also it is in need of an update the room is pretty dated.

For the price and I was not expecting a lot this place is very good. Only complaint is the 10 minutes I had to wait at the desk looking at the ‘BE RIGHT BACK’ sign posted at the check in desk.

For a quiet sleep prior to a day of skiing, this motel offers a convenient alternative. With a shortage of staff, the service is bare bones. The building is conveniently located, close to I-80, while offering a quiet sleep. Parking is convenient, and well-lit. Noticed that the entrance steps are a bit worn, but the rooms themselves feel modern.
