The room, jacuzzi, hotel, and restaurant were all exceptional. The building is gorgeous with lots of plants, fountains, and beautiful artwork.

The hotel is unique. Lots of corridors with interesting old photos or orchids, interior courtyards with fountains, etc. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The restaurant was good (highly recommend the duck!) but my sons tenderloin that he ordered medium came rare, and wasn’t very good when they tried again.

Our short stay at the hotel was unforgettable. Our room was absolutely gorgeous! Everything was very clean and the room was stocked with snacks and drinks which we really appreciated after our long journey. We had an amazing dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was so beautiful and romantic and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back if we travel through san jose again!

I loved the hotel, the decor and customer service of the whole team was excellent. Everyone was so helpful, from setting up my SIM card to helping me organise my taxi rides. The restaurant too is great, food and drinks were amazing!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Grano de Oro. Thank you to the staff for providing us with a little history of the property, which has been beautifully restored. The location is great - walkable to the National Theater, etc., and we enjoyed the hot tub & gym on the roof level. Even if you don't eat at the restaurant (which has an excellent breakfast), be sure to just tour the beautiful rooms in the restaurant/bar area of the property.

From the moment you step foot onto the Grano de Oro’s property, you are transported from the ordinary to the extraordinary. The hotel is beautiful inside. The lobby is small but modern-and the rooms are well- appointed and charming. My room with an outdoor terrace was serene and the bed was very comfortable. I never wanted to leave! Additionally, the hotel is immaculately clean. The hotel staff are courteous, efficient and organized. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is varied and delicious. I personally enjoyed the “Tico” breakfast a few times and as I love pasta, the casarecce, was also a big hit with me. The gym and jacuzzi area are easily accessible and a nice addition to the property. Overall, my stay at the Grano de Oro was absolutely top-notch and as much as I would like to keep this stellar property a secret- that would be unfair both to the wonderful folks at the hotel and to you. Stay at the Grano - you will be delighted!

This is a wonderful hotel. All of the staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional. The hotel itself is a beautiful building, with lots of interesting details, and the food in the restaurant was excellent. All in all, this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in in a long time.

This hotel was an absolute highlight of my stay in San Jose. It’s a beautiful property. Great architectural style and landscaping. A fun indoor/outdoor bar restaurant just off the lobby. The staff was incredibly friendly, and my room was nice and cool and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is small but beautiful. Loved the vegetation and plants! Beautifully decorated and the staff was extremely nice and made sure we had everything we needed. They arranged our transportation to the airport and recommended a tour agency for booking some tours!

What a delightful hotel!! Every single member of the staff is gracious, helpful and friendly. The property and rooms are beautiful. My only tiny suggestion regarding the lodging aspect is that i expected a few more basic ammenities like cotton swabs, cotton puffs, make up remover towelettes, etc. The"mini bar" is a nice touch, but to be clear, it's snacks and drinks, not a "bar". The restaurant is lovely and there are a couple of other dining options right across the street. We will definitely return when we are in San Jose and highly recommend!
